How does Kayn’s Ult work lore wise?

So when kayn ults it’s hard to describe for me. Does he go inside them? Does he go in there shadows or something ? How does the scythe float?

I can see rhaast logically using this ability because if u attack an enemy u get to use ur ult. When rhaast ults I think of it like this he literally goes inside them from the wound or attack he slashed his enemy and then he pops out killing the victim, if u have seen rhaast’s login screen he pops out of sion’s scar thing, but then again rhaast gets kayn’s powers when he takes over that’s what I’m confused about if that is either a darkin ability or kayn’s ability

But with kayn it’s a different story Does he just go in there shadow and use his ult from there? Where is he when he ults?

Post ur thought below

Oooh I asked CoolRadius this is his response "They live as a shadow INSIDE their host for a brief time. It's a combination of both Kayn and Rhaast's talents. Kayn was able to do this before wielding Rhaast, only now when he/they exit their host more damage is dealt. They assume a shadow form that is inside physically and psychologically, however they aren't like a lump of flesh inside. They are in a way broken down to a cellular level."

The way I look at it is he merges with the targets shadow and kills them from a quick strike after leaving it

Personal headcanon: Kayn turns into a shadow (including his weapon) and "possess" his target. When he is in the body, he takes a physical form again and tears the body apart. The Scythe above is more for gameplay/clarity reasons, same goes for he has to inflict damage before he can use the ability. (At least in his color story he could use the ability instead).
