#2018 Lore Tournament: Day 12

Today is a big one, a battle between two titans of League of Legends storytelling! First, we have Confessions of a Broken Blade, a three-part series and one of the few stories to move the League lore along before everything else has caught up. The story focuses around Yasuo and Riven, who finally uncover the truth behind the death of Elder Souma. Secondly, we have one of the most acclaimed short stories of the year, Art Is Life, in which Vladimir entrances a young painter named Maura and tells her about his life and philosophy.

Confessions of a Broken Blade (Part 2 | Part 3 )) _ by Ariel Lawrence_ Riven, the Exile from Noxus, has been living with an Ionian family, struggling with her muddled, painful memories of the war. Upon being found by Yasuo, the man originally framed for the murder of Elder Souma, the truth about the case is unveiled bit by bit, and Riven must come to terms with the horrifying wartime memories - and her actions - that she has been trying to suppress for so long.

Art Is Life by Graham McNeill Maura, a young Noxian painter, traverses the nighttime streets to visit Vladimir and paint his picture. When she finally comes to meet the Crimson Reaper himself, he captivates her with tales of his garden, his philosophy, and his unusually long life.
