Soraka

It is interesting to notice, that her lore wasn't reworked. Actually its very outdated. The story wasn't reworked at the Warwick rework, nor at the vastayas(she could be one) and she wasn't reworked with this irelia update too... My question is, why?

She needs to move to targon asap. No offense, I like the old lore but I think she doesn't belong to ionia anymore and she fits way more in the targon category now.

I think she's currently in the Misc. category along with some other champs that haven't gotten proper lore updates (Nidalee, Fiddlesticks, Fizz, etc.)

Which is a shame, because her lore has the potential to be very interesting.

I'm pretty sure that Soraka gets a lore update around the time when Nautilus gets his. But I forgot where they mentioned this

At least Soraka had connections to other champions before, and has plenty of possible places in the new lore.

The two champions in the worst state lore-wise right now are probably Nidalee and Sona, who unlike Fiddle/Nocturne don't have the excuse of being nightmarish demons. Sona arguably has it worse because she got outright ignored in the Demacia updates aside from her adoptive family being mentioned once in Quinn's story, and her very minimalistic lore hasn't been updated at all since her release.

Hell, Pentakill Sona, a non-canon skin, has more lore and character than canon Sona does.

When Warwick was reworked Riot had to choose between his relations with Singed and Soraka. They wanted to aligned his as a Zaun champion, so they went with Singed can made his transformation purely chemtech related opposed to the magical potion used in his old lore.

In Irelia's old lore she was saved by Soraka, however (imo), that took away from her lore. Now her new lore is focused around her struggle as someone brought up in a war torn Ionia, and leader of a resistance. Soraka doesn't fit into that story in anyway but to oppose it, not saying that Soraka and Irelia won't work well together. I'd actually bet, they'd still meet in a future story however, that would not have worked for her origin story.

A wanderer from the celestial dimensions beyond Mount Targon, Soraka gave up her immortality to protect the mortal races from their own more violent instincts. She endeavors to spread the virtues of compassion and mercy to everyone she meets—even healing those who would wish harm upon her. And, for all Soraka has seen of this world's struggles, she still believes the people of Runeterra have yet to reach their full potential.

Soraka's new lore, she is related Targon and kept her origin as a celestial banished from the 'heavens', and based on Nami's lore, Diana is headed to Ionia, more than likely (my theory) to meet Soraka.

They don't even know whether she is blue or purple, so maybe they just don't know what to do with her for now.

She actually did get a small lore update on the front of her universe page:

"A wanderer from the celestial dimensions beyond Mount Targon, Soraka gave up her immortality to protect the mortal races from their own more violent instincts. She endeavors to spread the virtues of compassion and mercy to everyone she meets—even healing those who would wish harm upon her. And, for all Soraka has seen of this world's struggles, she still believes the people of Runeterra have yet to reach their full potential."

...But that's it.

Personally, I don't like it all that much and wish she could have remained Ionian, and I'm also a little miffed that she didn't get a larger-scale update when Targon got its update, so she's in a state of limbo right now, I guess. That small little blurb conflicts with her biography on the Universe page, and it would have been nice to get an update on her considering she was just written out of Warwick and now Irelia's lore.

"As her life ebbed, Soraka, the Starchild, made a final attempt to anchor her fading soul. Unwilling to relinquish her home, Irelia rose at the brink of death, and her father's weapon lifted into the air alongside her. Irelia rushed back to the fore, unfazed by the blade's sudden animation. "

So where does she belong, Riot? As someone who has loved Soraka for plenty of seasons now, what are you going to do with her? Her connections with other champions made her incredibly interesting, and it's sad to see her fade out of existence. She doesn't even have that many interactions with champions in-game anymore. Is there any hope for more Soraka involvement in champion updates/lore updates?
