Some questions about the Blood Moon

As most of you know, a lot of skins come from the idea of "what if", meaning it's mostly just various dimensions that differ from one another, and one champ can be anything, and sometimes an actual possible outcome, the future. Which brings me to the Blood Moon skins ( which I think are great Jhin has the best one prove me wrong). Although the BM skins are a different universe, The Blood Moon is actually real, it's an actual event that acours every year in Ionia. Because of that, I have some questions:

  • Could the BM skins be "possible outcome of the future" skins?
  • If it is an event in Ionian culture, why haven't we seen any other champs besides Shen and Akali react or take part in it in our universe?
  • Could there ever be a new champ that is somehow connected to this event, since it's one of the most respected and honored events in Ionia? (and if so, in what way will he be made so that he feels different from skins and Diana in theme of "Moon connected"?)

Did they actually confirm that the Blood moon is still canon in the new lore?

Though even if it was,I'd doubt that we'd ever get a new champ that is connected to it. I mean it is just one event,that is likely not even celebrated across all of ionia.

However if we'd ever get a bloodmoon champ,then I guess it would likely be the demon who inspired those legends about the bloodmoon(could be a character that focuses more on masks than the actual moon,so they wouldn't step onto Dianas moon theme or Rhaasts posession-theme)

The way I see it is that Shen and Akali WERE originally canon festival skins, but as they (Riot) expanded on the skinline, they've retconned the two to being a Guardian (Shen and Yasuo), and a Priestess (Akali, Diana, Elise) respectively. Essentially, the Blood Moon Festival is canon, but the skins aren't.
