OPINION: To flesh out the world, Riot should take the Games Workshop approach to creating games.

For those who are unaware, Games Workshop used to give out the Warhammer/40k license EXCLUSIVELY to certain companies. All eyes look to the old Dawn of War games as well as Warhammer 40k: Space Marine. However, after those deals fell apart, GW went broad with their licensing and allowed for many other companies to make things for their universe.

While I understand the League IP is Riot's and Riot's alone, I also feel that they could do an amazing job of fleshing out the world by allowing other companies (Marvel, as an example) to expand their world with limited licensing rules. Let's say for example I'm Neato Games and Riot gives me permission to make a Bilgewater game. This means I'll have full access to all sorts of Bilgewater lore and to create a unique, interesting game specifically for this universe. However, this won't extend to my friends at Dang Fine Comics, who are making their own unique comics with completely separate storylines (although both "canon") in Demacia.

Now, of course there's the big question: What if they do something awful? Not every Warhamemr game is a gem. While true, I think the benefits outweigh the cost. Hell, we remember the really good stuff more than the really bad stuff unless it's all bad. Once again falling under my opinion, I think Riot and the League universe would benefit far more from 3 good stories and 7 bad ones rather than Riot taking their time and making one good story. Plus, more content is usually good and allows for a variety of players to enjoy the League universe in a variety of different ways.

Overall, I feel like Riot should let more people explore the League universe and empower them to do so with bite-sized licenses so as not to give someone the metaphorical keys to the kingdom while, at the same time, giving more companies a chance to make League content that Riot may not have thought of yet.
