The Void Symbiote

Lately, I see a lot of people complaining about Kai'sa's symbiote connection, and how Riot wasted a chance to give the suit lines, like Venom and his hosts over the years. I seriously got angry of this, not because of the complain but also of how often I see it. Well, I want to actually talk with you about this and actual Symbiosis. Symbiosis is when two creatures, mostly from different kinds, act together to ensure something both sides want. For example: Creature A wants food, and attaches itself to creature B, B gives A the food it needs and in return A gives B something B needs. Or in our case in hand: The suit attached to Kaisa, Kaisa hunted down Voidlings and made the suit grow stronger, fed it, and so The suit grows stronger while making Kaisa stronger and have better armor and weapons to hunt down Voidlings and feed The suit, again and again. NOT ONCE, IN EVERYWHERE I LOOKED AND SEARCHED, DOES SOMEONE SAY THAT THE HOST AND THE SYMBIOTE SPEAK TO EACH OTHER. "then why can Venom speak with the host you seriously didn't do enou--" Because the symbiote in Marvel's world is capeble of speech and has a high form of intellegence, not like our symbiote. Oh, yeah, and because VENOM IS A CHARCTER FROM A COMIC BOOK FROM A DIFFERENT PRODUCTION TEAM WHICH HAS A DIFFERENT UNIVERSE!! If we had another champ who was in a symbiotic connection, I would understand, but since Kai'sa is the only champ we know has a connection like that, I can assume that Riot didn't want to copy things from Marvel and based the suit by the ACTUAL RULES OF OUR NATURE AND NOT THE NATURE OF A COMIC BOOK UNIVERSE. So when you want to complain about Kai'sa's desing from now on, DON'T. COMPLAIN. ABOUT. THE. SYMBIOTE. Thank you and have a good day.

I don't have ever seen once anyone complaining about the suit not talking. I have seen people complaining about the suit not actually looking like living matter.

Latching onto a pretty lady all day long while getting fed, what's not to like?

Well to those points I can just say what I previously said to someone else that made pretty much the same point:

All these things you mention are things that riot decided to do with her character and they could have just as well decided otherwise.

The suit being mindless isn't because riot had no other choice(we already have a lot of other void creatures that are able to speak,so even by riots own rules that would have made sense),it is mindless because riot decided to make it that way,when they could have easily done it differently.

And overall I think the desire for the suit to speak is because the suit as it is doesn't feel like a living organism,which is key to Kai'sas theme.

My complaint with kai'sa is 3 fold. The lack of corruption be it mental or physical, the lack of symbiote interacting with her very much or its surroundings, and the fact that she was never in the void.

Appearently she was nvr in the void and nvr fought any of the actual big baddies of the void, just the void equivalents of dogs and any earth animal smaller than that, so her mental corruption and physically corruption has an "excuse" to be kept to a minimum, but Im at least expecting purple tinged eyes and some pulsing purple veins if ur sustaining urself off void matter process through a external void skin that had bonded with you to the ability to do that...she shouldn't look like a model, sexy champs are cool - not from the Void tho thats where monsters and corrupted people come from.

Due to the lack or interaction between her and the symbiot the "second skin" really does come across as basically a mech suit especially in her game play. In the lore we know she uses the suit to hunt and can sustain herself off Void matter by using the suit to process it through both of their skins, it probably also heightens her senses. Additionally the Voidskin gets free food and gets to continue to live. That seems to be the extent of their relationship which is great, except in game it comes across as nothing more than a suit that grants enhanced abilities, so it might as well be a mech suit

In order to differentiate the symbiot from a mech suit it should be much more autonomous as symbiotes can be in natures, it could possibly make its own sounds or spams out randomly or reach out towards possible food sources, possibly even sending out tendrils to snatch up minions she's killed. for E and Q it does a decent job of this, but not W and R

For R it would be nice to see them continue the trend of "the suit can't do more than one thing at a time" As long as shes not attacking the Suit forms crystalline shields on her arms in front of her. When she does basic attack the she loses the shield as they morph into her guns. So her R becomes a dynamic decision every second: should I attack or should I shield. And she could switch between attack and defense as long as the R shield is supposed to be active. This would also make it more balanced

No my friend Riot seriously underplayed the Symbiote aspect of her theme, she hard has ANY lines directly refering to the suit, she has like a grand total of seven, shes got more lines counting kills than the she does about the suit

Now sure science says symbiotes can be completely still, but this is a game we are talking about here, If u want people to understand something you have to overexaggerate a little bit to make sure the intent is not misunderstood as kai'sa's WHOLE concept clearly was (she was never in the Void and people still think that due to miscommunication). Its like in animtation you have to go a little overboard to really sell the concept of the motion.

If people are mistaking the Symbiote for a suit, then that simply means Riot failed to deliver on that aspect of her theme, which i sincerely believe that they did, and even I agree that the suit shouldn't talk.

Sidenote Leeches are only symbiotic through domestic use. Naturally Leeches and Ticks are parasitic. If Kai'sa made the leech equivalent of a void creature her suit she'd be dead, because it would be parasitic and leach her dry, she's incredibly lucky the Void creature decided to be symbiotic or was symbiotic by nature instead.
