Ionia is home to many human languages, the Zhyun dialect is the most-spoken of the Ionian lingua franca. It is unknown if the Ionian language is related to either or neither of the unrelated & obscure languages spoken by KarmaSquare.png Karma & YasuoSquare.png Yasuo.

Ionian kinship terms: (PIE-based?[1]) Anar - "Brother" (cf. *ɐnḗr' "man") Dyeda - "Daughter" (cf. *dʰugɐtḗr "suckling") Erzai - "Son" (cf. *wérsēn ~ *r̩sḗn "man") Emai - "Mother" (cf. *(x)am- baby word) Faʔir - "Father" (cf. *pɐtḗr "protector ~ provider") Svasa - "Sister" (cf. *swésōr "same-blooded") O-fa - "Grandfather" (also to address an elderly man) O-ma - "Grandmother" (also to address an elderly woman)

I just saw this from a Gamepedia website about Ionia:

Link: https://lol.gamepedia.com/Ionia

This really confuses me, because it contains three BIG RELEVANT INFORMATION !!

1

I've always thought the Common Tounge was originated from the Northen part of Ionia.

Why?

The northern island occupies the biggest part of the lands. Besides, it is rich in Forest where early Ionian people and Vastasharei met. And I remember a rioter from Ionia Lore Group (maybe @WAAARGHbobo) once mentioned many Vastayan words are borrowed into Ionian language.

So I think Ionian Language should be originated from Northern land, and the common tongue should be around there instead of a very far place in the South.

2

Those words about families are from League of Legends Universe - River and Yasuo stories. I've been searching for some information about them, finally, I found it. There seems some IPA to indicate the possible pronunciation and the origins of each word, which is very useful and exciting for me.

But, from where do they get this and put them there?

Any reference from Official channels or Rioters?

3

Ionia is home to many human languages

So, this "many human languages" include other languages over Valoran?

If it is true, the idea that I surmised about that Ionia is a " Cradle of civilization" in a post of Reddit (LINK: https://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/c4mreo/ionian_champion_names_in_ionian_languages/) is verified !![zombie-brand-mindblown]

In that post where I explained what Ionian Language and its scripts should be like, I described it as a typical "Cradle of civilization" style language mixed with numerous vastayan languages from different tribes depending on the Ionia provinces or regions.

If this phrase "Ionia is home to many human languages" is an official resource, it would be huge excitement for me.

But still, I need a reference of all these three points!!

References from Official Side

I don't wish it was totally a Fan-Made resource!

If anyone knows it can you tell me thanks~**[slayer-pantheon-thumbs]
