Am I alone?

I don't know about anyone else, but I miss the old Summoners Rift, I feel it had much more charm and even though the overall look of it was very Warcraft 3 Esq, I just liked the color, texture and landscape details more. The new rift feels like it's molded out of clay, just kind of smooth and lifeless. It has a lot of interesting aspects to it, I love the wildlife and all of the details that makes the jungle feel like a jungle, but the way it was before just had an X factor that trumped all of that. I don't really know what it was.

I don't agree that I miss the old Summoner's Rift. Map's nostalgic, but it's quite gross by modern standards.

The issue with the new Summoner's Rift was the worst decision the studio decided to make in the desaturation of the colors. League, on the whole, feels grossly desaturated. The greens and stone and water used to be so much more vivid.

Sorry-- I'm with the rest of the pack. RIP classic rift.

I do, however, wish there was a winter rift that changed seasonally. I saw IWD play with a winter rift loaded during his streams. I was wholly jealous.

In my humble opinion, yes you are alone haha. Have you looked at gameplay with the old map recently on Youtube or anything? Or are you just remembering it in comparison to today's map? Because lots of times, when you remember things (especially graphics) you remember them with today's standards. Take N64, for example, when you remember those games you do not remember them with horrible (in today's standards) polygon graphics, you remember them as awesome game-changing beautiful works of art when, in reality, they look like shit today.

^^Same is true with the old map haha

I watch a lot of game-play from before, I agree with Solerian it's desaturated, that may be what I was looking for to describe it because when looking back at the older videos on YouTube, everything just stood out more to me. Sure, by today's standards it may be gross, and it more than likely is just nostalgia from when I first started playing and it was all new and exciting, which is probably the case the more I think about it, even though the trees looked like a child's drawn christmas tree, I still miss it. Maybe if they just touch up the new rift's colors and sharpen up some of the details in the environment it wont seem so stale.
