There's too much disconnect between Piltover/Zaun, and Bilgewater.

It's very strange that the closest factions to Bilgewater don't see any interaction with them in the story. Who, if not wealthy Piltovans with large shipments of goods, are the pirates actually plundering? Themselves? That wouldn't make much sense.

And with that in mind, why then is the technology in Bilgewater as primitive as flintlocks and cannons when the people they plunder have hextech? Why wouldn't they make use of the technology for themselves? If Gangplank is such a feared man with something as outdated as a flintlock, it stands to reason he'd be even better with an actual revolver. And a hextech arm would probably be better than whatever strange contraption he's currently using. item 3145 Camille (both of which are available)

Hell, apparently in Piltover they have the means to make every part of the human body out of metal Orianna , but the people across a very small sea still use thrown harpoons to hunt? Pyke And we know there are superior hextech harpoons. Rumble The only thing really on par is the fact that Graves has an actual shotgun.

Other areas are pretty far away and across a large mountain range, so that could loosely be used as an explanation for the lack of interaction. But there's no explanation for the lack of interaction between these areas. And I think it'd be really cool to add some more. Maybe even a champion who actually travels between them and has a Bilgewater style but advanced Piltover tech.

wouldn't gp feel less like a "yar har pirate" and more like.. well.. camille if he had a revolver and a hextech arm?

They seem to be plundering mostly noxians and ionians.

Remember that Piltover doesn't sell their weaponry and gadgets to others, so there won't be that many ships equipped with them (heck it might even be illegal to take hextech devices out of Piltover)

Hextech is featured in Miss Fortunes color story

Hextech is one of the first things mentioned in Bilgewaters flavor text "Almost anything can be purchased here, from outlawed hextech to the favor of local crime lords"

hextech is expensive

I get your point, but this scares me. Hextech/Chemtech are basically the only thematic niche that Piltover and Zaun currently have and Piltover is already pretty neglected when it comes to champion releases.

If they now start to introduce champions from all over Runeterra with Hextech augmentations and devices, then many champion designs which should naturally come from Piltover will go to these other regions... making it even moe neglected than it already is.....

Bilgewater was made long before piltover and zaun so its kinda makes sense.

Bilgewater lore in general is very outdated and yeah, we should see more interactions with bilgewater with the other regions.
