So I recently got Championship Ashe from a chest and had enough OE to unlock it. Decided to play a few games and something came mind. Given that Ashe's VO is so old, is Riot thinking of changing it soon? Perhaps along with the new comic coming out about her? She's an absolutely fascinating character and I think it would be a great opportunity to shift her lines to emphasize it more, along with bringing out more personality and character from her demeanor.
Well, her VO was updated in 2013, as part of a full VGU. Sure, it's not as involved as a modern VGU, but she's still in a good place visually and vocally, so I don't think she'll need a VO update anytime soon, not when characters like Miss Fortune, Shen, Fiora, Alistar exist who have had model updates, but still need vocal updates and animations, and characters with dramatically different bios now like Varus and Lissandra.
They didn't do it for MF and Varus so Ima go with no unless something changes
Ashe had her VO updated at some point after season 1, though I can't find an exact date in 2013. She's lower priority than someone like MF as a result.
Yeah, her last one was back in 2013 when they updated Freljord and had added Lissandra to the game. However, it has had a lot of time since then, so it's not as modern as some of the newer champs. I don't think they'll be looking at her anytime soon though, when other champions who have had recent work done to them in gameplay, lore, ect need it a bit more to bring them back in-line with the game (Miss Fortune, Varus, Alistar, ect)
She's someone I'd love to see get an Ezreal-level update, even if she's nowhere near as urgent as a lot of others. Her design could use a lot of work so she's not just a lady in a bikini that lives in the snow place.
