Ekko's sword made to execute people?!

Ekko's sword is a long flat blade with no point on the end or distal taper (it dosent get more flat). A sword like this is usually called an executioner's sword. They were designed to kill defenceless people. Seems like the opposite of what ekko wants to do with a weapon. Why do you think they made a sword specifically designed for taking life ekko's?

It's a clockhand and its not even sharp, its no more lethal than a glowing baseball bat.

It isn't very flat, I would say it's about the length and width of a large keyboard imo. It's more like a baseball bat than a sword.
