Does Riot take fan written stories into serious considerstion regarding lore?

Apologies in advance as I do not ever visit the forums, so I am unaware if the post I'm making is redundant or not.

Seeing the recent partnership to create visual novels with Marvel, it would appear that a decent opportunity for upcoming writers, that happen to be fans of the lore already in place would be able to get in touch with the writing team to share their ideas or creations of their own, and turn them into something more visual, rather than full on writing. (Despite the massively varying quality that a venture like that may attract)

Would a scenario such as this be possible some time down the line, if ever, would would the stigma of fan created writing wither a prospect like ther to dust? If there are already ways to do so, I'd love to read them.
