If Darkin were once a noble and not so desperate and vengeance seeking race...

Can we get Old Galio back? But keep the current one. This replacement of the Old Galio would be a champion with a new name entirely.

Don't quit on this post just yet, but think about Galio before his rework. He looked sinister just like old Aatrox does. What if you altered his appearance, make him look more like a Noble Darkin...then he could still be a Gargoyle/Statue...an image of some Darkin. He could be Galio's rival since he doesn't really have one at the moment.

So, looks like a Darkin, but is something else. Maybe it could even just be 'living equipment' and he's a special creature just like Galio because of the mysterious creation of it. Whatever direction you go with, the point is I really want old Galio back and the protective nature of his old abilities could be justified by the concept that he is not a Darkin(which was attacked and their race jeopardized), but just looks like one or certainly appears to be allied/affiliated with them, whether he's still affiliated with them would be up for debate or perhaps not up for debate. But either way it would create another opening for more story telling involving the Darkin.

I think there's room for some anti-mages yet in this game. Galio doesn't fulfill the fantasy well for me as he currently is and I much preferred the old one. Not sure what you guys think about the direction you're going in if it's good, but if so, perhaps you could find a way to make Old Galio kind of like Pyke where you cannot rely on a certain stat being purchased...like perhaps buying AD items get turned into Magic Resist instead. After all, a Darkin is all about AD, just like Pyke seems to be all about healing. He'd have a way above average AD at level 18 stat but not being able to add to that, seems like a cool concept to me. Would allow him to get stuff like to get a ton of MR while getting interesting passives and actives. would then end up providing MR and AP which could perhaps be considered a core item.

Perhaps the healing from Old Galio's W would scale very well with spellvamp(which is on the Gunblade) which would make Morgana and him a great combination, something the new champs haven't seen since Rakan and Xayah. It would also be pretty cool because Morgana is supposed to be a Darkin in new lore or at least sharing a body with one like Kayn. And who knows, perhaps the Old Galio is something that Kayle helped create(albeit accidentally maybe?) would throw a lot of interesting plot twists into the lore.
