He does transform for his recall, like all the others. But why does he not take that form when using his E? Such wasted potential. Or rather, a lack of effort, really. Likely due to orders from higher-ups and not the actual designers, but still.
Does Mecha Aatrox transform when he uses his abilities? (and no, just growing the wings doesn't count, he actually has to turn into the jet form.) Does Mecha Malphite transform when he uses any of his abilities? Or Kha'Zix?
The obvious answer for all three is "no".
There may be a point to be made about Mecha Zero Sion transforming during his Unstoppable Onslaught, buuuuuut...
He's a Legendary-tier skin. Not Epic.
All of the Epic-Tier Mecha skins (Kha'Zix notwithstanding) only transform during their Recall animation. Mecha Zero Sion uniquely transforms during his ultimate ability. Which is to be expected, since he's a higher-tier skin than the rest.
