ACTUALLY, alot of people complained about Taric not having his shield and hammer, but unlike in the case of Kayle, it is mentioned in the lore of Taric that he used a hammer when he was in Demacia.

And people complained about Sylas as well.

This is not about having a "pretty character", its about changing the main theme of the character... The armor of Kayle was a huge part of her character. Imagine what would happen if Mordekaiser became a random undead dude with a mace instead of a walking armor.

Because there isn't nearly as many sexualized men than women compared to non-sexualized men and women

But ngl lie, Sylas is wayyyyy too sexualized if we look at his lore And, people actually did complain about him

I don't know where this idea that "no one complained about Sylas!" comes from. I distinctly remember a lot of complaints about his look and how they went for sexy shirtless dad who's about to build a shed in the backyard in a beer commercial instead of withering emaciated inmate who ate rats and is trying to start a revolution. In fact I've seen complaints about his look even recently, not just after the initial reveal. I can't speak for the other champs since I haven't been around that long but saying no one complained about Sylas' looks being more sexy than necessary to his character is simply untrue.

Fabulously ugly

Honestly, I don't know why those guys are considered sexy. Because they have their shirts off? I'd be perfectly fine to stick shirts back on them =P

I think the issue is

A) More guys play League so they notice attractive/sexualized females more than males

B) Girls are more noticeably sexualized and there is a definite higher proportion than males for "sexy" looks.

I mean, let's compare "hot" guys (needlessly showing their body/abs) to "hot" girls (needlessly showing off their bodies):

Guys: Braum Brand Kayn Malzahar Rakan Sylas Taric Tryndamere Varus

Girls: Ahri Akali Ashe Caitlyn Elise Evelynn Kaisa Leblanc MissFortune Morgana Nami Nidalee Sona Syndra Zyra

I just did a quick pass. If you want to argue "attractive" vs. "sexualized" I think there are definitely more men as well as more women, but you get the idea. There are way more girls with big chests showing extra skin than guys showing off dem abs hence why it stands out more when a female gets more "sexualized".

I'm gonna stop now cause I think I'm rambling
