Can't Aatrox find another Ascended to solve his problem?

So, according to Aatrox's new lore, he wants to end the world just to break free from his curse, his eternal binding to his sword and the fact that he became something ugly and unworthy, because if he tries to go back to his normal Ascended self, the host dies of overloadng power. So, instead of trying to destroy the whole world just to break free, can't he just try to find another Ascended, weaken them in battle, then try and take over them? That surely will grant him to unleash his full previous form without breaking the body, because they are already used to that sort of power. "uhhh but that can't happen cause the Ascended are way stronger then any normal mortal" Physically, yes. Mentally? not at all. One of the main things we learn from the new lore updates is that the fallen suffered greatly from the void war, but not in a corrupting way, like most mortals, but in a way that resembles PTSD. So can't Aatrox try to find another Ascended so that he'll be able to transform to his old-self?

Well, Nasus is probably smart enough to just... not use the sword. If Aatrox could trick him into picking it up, sure, but he can't very well do that while trapped in the blade. I imagine he's probably thought of that during his centuries of imprisonment, but it doesn't seem like a quick fix to me.

The only other Ascended in the world are Nasus, who isn’t going to help, Renekton, who is insane and just wants to kill Nasus, and Azir, who is busy rebuilding an empire.

Also, it wasn’t the Ascended that cursed the Darkin, it was the Targonian Aspects, more specifically Zoe/Aspect of Twilight.

I think in "present" day all of the ascended are now locked away in weapons. If you read the origin story for darkin it alludes to them using that sword they found to deal with the rest of them. Also mentioning that every darkin story now has some tie to a weapon and a host. Probably could have been possible but now that none are left he's stuck

Also there are so many ascended wandering the world in the current timeline, which is supposedly hundreds if not thousands of years after the defeat of the darkins.

I think it could be possible for him to become truly free when he takes over another ascended,but it might be simply impossible for the darkin to overtake an ascended.
