Are Professor Lyte and Professor Lymere the same person, or different uncles?

It's stated that Ezreal lived with his uncle Professor Lymere in the lore, who owns a museum in Piltover. Professor Lyte on the other hand is shown to lead excavations (primarily in Piltover) and doesn't show the same resentment for Ezreal as Lymere probably would have.

Are these two the same person, making "Lyte" just a nickname of Lymere? Or are they just different uncles? I personally feel like they are different people, as Professor Lyte seems a lot more jolly than the grumpy Professor Lymere we've read about.

Professor Lyte was named after an employee at Riot who went by the same name. He was head of Player Behavior or some sort, but left the company a few years back and got entangled in some pretty controversial issues afterwards IIRC.

For this reason, my guess is that Riot did not want to keep this homage in the game and renamed the character Lymere. Also possible they simply wanted to rename the character to something that sounds a bit more Piltovan.

I don't get this. By name and personality as represented they're very obviously two different people, so what's with the confusion? Has it ever actually been implied that Lyte was related to Ezreal?
