Thornmail and Sound Feedback

Perhaps I'm insane. Perhaps this has been posited before.

When we autoattack a person who has thornmail the only real feedback that most people get is the fact that their own HP bar is slowly diminishing per attack.

During hectic fights this is easily missed.

What if there was some sort of sound change t othe autoattacks when one hits a thornmail draped individual?
