What happend to clarity?

So I've been playing this game for a few years now, since like 2010, and as time goes on riot has been adding more and more skins to the game. And I like a lot of them but, I can't tell what's happening half the time, cause every other skin changes ability effects and sound effects, and it's driving me mad. So I would very much like it if Riot gave me the option to turn off players skins. I know that players spend a lot of money of skins and Riot wants to make it feel like a good investment but I don't think it should be at the cost of clarity. I would be happy if I could just turn off the skins' ability effects and sound effect changes to be honest. I don't know maybe I'm off base and I just can't tell what's being cast now that I'm over the age of 15.
