Can we get a Bard lore update?

Bard - Biography - Universe of League of Legends

Okay, now I understand that the champion pool was rushed for a while, and that lore wasn't something that was looked at too often, but really? A paragraph? Now, I can get you wanting him to be some sort of mysterious being in the lore, but could we get a bit more? Or maybe an event he was tied to? I know he was somewhat associated with the Rune Wars, how he's taken relics from people, hell, even Thresh taunts him with the lantern(dark star thresh interaction). Jhin tells Bard that he's only there to "Herald his entrance". Aurelion Sol has a line just making fun of him. Ryze asks bard to help him save the world, Wolf calls him a balloon, and I do believe there is more. I would love even a page of a short story for him, or a champion associated with him to have some interaction with him, just something new. Something else I would absolutely love, is if you released someone made for the ADC role, that had interactions specific to Bard. Like, if you wanted to write a short story I would be absolutely stoked to even submit a draft because I know you guys sometimes disregard lesser played champions(cough cough ivern)

Honestly I want him to get everything that almost every other champion has. A short story, actual lore etc. He is the only 'modern' champion to just straight up have nothing and it's so sad.

I think that they have been holding off on Bard because he is one of the most important characters in the universe. That doesn't necessarily mean he's one of the most important to the story- that honor goes to the likes of Swain, Lux, Ashe, Lissandra, Mordekaiser, Pantheon, Irelia, Azir, Ryze, etc., but what I mean is that Bard can see all of the threads that keep the universe intact and therefore any lore he receives will need to be done at a time that the universe is fully formed and all the regions and characters have stuff to do. I also don't want them to rush it and do some bullshit like put him on Targon or lower his power or anything, if you subscribe to the idea that keeping something intact/building something requires more power than destroying something, Bard is without a doubt the most powerful character in the lore.

I also have a strong suspicion that Bard is being kept back because Riot is still finalizing some stuff around how magic works in the universe. A recent Ask Riot featured a question about the World Runes and a rioter said that there were basically beings using them to create Runeterra, as they had with other worlds presumably, but for some reason their work was halted. I would venture a guess to say that Bard is one of these cosmic builders and that's how he knows how to keep the universe from being destroyed by removing artifacts of great power from the planet. Obviously a character like that goes to the core of how the world exists and functions to begin with, so it makes sense such a reveal will come at a later time after most of the other characters are set up.

I may or may not release an edited version based on feedback

I feel like dispelling the mystery around Bard is gonna make him one dimensional so any Bio update should remain somewhat mysterious.

The besT way to get content for Bard is to put him in a story and have him actually effect Runeterra in some way

Loping Cinder mentioned Bard has a huge secret that he'd liked for Riot to tell the story of, so I'd be interested in learning that. Apparently what Bard is actually saying, not the ootays, is crazy revealing about Runeterra

While I do think Bard needs a lore update with all that comes with it (updated bio + color story), I don't think Bard is a champion that offers much possibilities lorewise. This is purely based on my opinion and I may be wrong, of course. But Bard is a literal Deus Ex Machina (it says so in his short bio, and short bios are up to date... Mostly, I think), which means that in the end, he just comes, fixes things and goes away.

Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with that, and as I said may be I'm wrong but that's how I see it. My point is, there's only so much you can do before it becomes redundant. Bard saves the day once? Sure, that's cool! Bard saves the day twice? Why not... But after that would become annoying imho.

Now, I trust Riot will do something good with the champion, and I do think there are some possibilities. I just don't think it's a champion that will appear a lot in stories.

As I said, it's just my point of view and I'm not trying to offend any Bard mains or so.
