[Discussion] Would you want Twisted Treeline or any other Maps to make a comeback?

I remember the good old days when people used to actually play Twisted Treeline. There would also be some occasional Modes like Hexakill that people actually enjoyed as well, because it allowed a total of 12 players be on the same Map.

It would be nice to see Twisted Treeline receive a Summoners Rift level of a Visual Update, to potentially make people want to play this Map again because there's a lot of potential to be explored when it comes to this Map since it's based off of the Shadow Isles Location.

Riot could even completely change a Map to resemble something like this...

Which would create a more obvious suggestion that this Map is part of Shadow Isles. Just to get any kind of Visual Update for this map would be nice, even if it's an Update to the Jungle monsters because their Visuals are incredibly outdated, or just new monsters in general since some of them are almost the exact same monsters that you see in Summoners Rift...

While I understand that these some of these Maps were specifically just created for the sole purpose of just being used during Special Events, I also think that it wouldn't hurt to have some of these Special Maps kept. If anything it would make a lot more of the people who might of potentially stopped playing League of Legends want to revisit some old memories from the past.

Personally I want diversity I would perfer few maps that you play on not just one. Also currently with what we have 3 maps that 2 are only played on.. So I would absolutely love to see an gameplay update on TT so it attracts players to play it casually and competitively

This post is a mixed bag of different stuff.

My short answer is - no, as the way you pose it.

This game tried and tested it - one alternative permanent gamne mode is more then enough to satisfy the playerbase needs.

I can get behind having a temporary comeback as the gamemode rotation of course, but besides that i would not see much appeal in that.

The map is such insane fun and much more relaxed to play than Summoner's Rift, the visuals are for the most already on same level as Howling Abyss and all it probably needs is…

1. Different shopkeepers as VU instead of 2x the same and it would be much better, to actually have something foundations related to the Shadow Isles, instead of two Pumpkinheads 2. Like you pointed out a VU to jungle camps 3. Purge of bots and the gold funneling strategy (the latter also for SR) 4. Support of CLASH tournaments after release of it & a official streamed pro ladder like LCS or maybe just smaller tournaments would already be enough 5. It would be cool, if they could find a way to make marksmen more viable in general on this map (I know, they struggle overall already) – maybe a complete different set of items just for Twisted Treeline would help 6. Give it a heavy rewarded Missions line every few months 7. Announce these changes clearly and continue to promote it 8. The best probably would be a giant reveal with a dedicated website containing all named content, releasing it all at once as basically a relaunch

I think, that everything but the bot purge & marksmen viability should be rather easy to implement in the future, counting that Missions already work and Clash working sometime in the future. Implementing new assets, announcement & promoting as smaller official streamed tournaments should be not that much of a big deal, because Riot already have experience how to organize these parts!

The map has so much potential and I am very sure, if they execute it like I propose players would definitly buy it, even long-time.

On the over hand I REALLY wish for Runeterra related locations as Summoner's Rift reskins and not just out of lore skin events. They also could to reskins for ARAM & 3v3 again. Shurima, Piltover & Zaun, Ionia, Targon, Demacia, Noxus… even the Void. As example Piltover & Zaun would fit ARAM insanely well, because the bridge and surroundings really would fit the architecture of both (top of bridge Piltover - bottom Zaun lower levels) and the sides could also split thematically!

The Twisted Treeline update was when they gave it the whole "Shadow Isles" aesthetic and it was fairly well received, if I remember. Visually it's just fine but some gameplay tweaks to raise player levels would probably do the trick. Right now the queue times and bot opponents are just depressing.

The Altars still don't have responses for Lucian, Kalista, Maokai and Thresh.

just a nitpick but butchers bridge was originally from the bilgewater event where gp got his rw and it was out at the same time was black market brawlers pykes release just brought it back

Bring back Crystal Scar map with a new Shuriman look and call it Cycle of Ascension (the center location in the Shuriman Capital where humans went to become Ascended underneath the Sun Disk). Rework Dominion into Ascension mode and make it permanent.
