Can the Ascended reproduce?

Or was that taken from them during the ritual? And what would happen if a Darkin with a fresh new host tried to reproduce?

Yes, and they would be called the Descended

there's probably some rule 34 of it

######In all seriousness, I know what you mean, and I want the answer

I mean Aatrox looks pretty smooth and down there. And Varus is...

Perhaps being Darkin locks out reproduction (since it also seems to confine them to true immortality, whereas someone like Nasus appears capable of dying if he was stabbed in the right place), while just being Ascended doesnt lock out reproduction.

I'd assume at least.

It would be some poor design if a ritual meant to turn a mortal into an undying super-weapon did not expel this one final remnant of mortality.

That said, some additional questions:

  • If yes, with who?

  • Can the Baccai reproduce?

  • Can Darkin magic lead to some mockery of reproduction?

  • Can it lead to reproducing asexually a bit like cell division? (Aatrox flesh crafting being a thing) (Can Rhaast grow a mini Rhaast from his arm?)

  • Can an Ascended reproduce after de-ascending? (Graham story)

I really don't want them to be able to.

ascended decedent? demi-ascended? is that even possible?

Azir has descendants (Sivir) but that family bloodline was made before his ascension ritual I'd assume.

I think the ascended can, wasn't Cassiopeia descended from the Snake Ascended who was mentioned in The Twilight of the Gods?

I don't see why not, but I imagine most consider themselves above mortal desires. If a Darkin tries to reproduce, wouldn't the child belong to host? It could be like a DIO/Jonathan-Giorno deal.

No. B/c Azir had a son and 2 other children and then he decided to preform the ritual. Nasus and renekton had no wives, but since renekton wanted to save nasus he preformed the ritual. Xerath had non ether. Setaka had none except I think a brother since one of the, became emperor but was not ascended. In a general statement no.

stop tryna hook up with the ascended you goddamn furry

IcyPepper7/8/2018, 10:27:34 PM1 votes

Maybe? The offspring would likely be mortal, though, otherwise there'd be a potential overpopulation problem given a couple thousand years.

Maybe this is why the Void exists....

Well, they are demi-gods with animalistic features, and Vastaya are humans affected by ancient magics that, among other things, gave them animalistic features.

Maybe there's a link, and maybe that link is simple reproduction.
