No offence, but there is nothing to support that theory.
- The colors don't match. There is no violet rune path in-game and there is no blue or teal world rune in the vault.
- The number of runes doesn't match. There are about 10-16 "slots" for world runes in that vault. Additionally, we know Ryze hasn't found all of them yet, Brand is in possession of one, and Zoe recently unearthed another one.
- The size and shape of the runes don't match. The world runes are small and fragment-like shaped, the in-game runes are gigantic structures.
- Their powers don't match. All world runes we know of were usable as weapons of mass destruction. Not once has it been mentioned that every world rune possesses different powers.
I know, it's an exciting thought that we are using world runes in-game, but the only thing they have in common is the word "rune" and red, green and yellow colors.
Oh shit the next world rune might have something to do with Zilean or Ekko then, since it's time themed. Either that or potentially something to do with Hextech. That's a really good catch!!
Someone mentioned that Ezreal might have it contained within his magical gauntlet. This is further evidenced by the announcement for Runes Reforged, and him holding what looks like a rune with multiple layers of metal coming off of it.
Since we dont know the entire story, those "structures" we see on the runes art, might be the place they were kept before the Runic Wars. Maybe they were worship or held on high places, like divine objects of power to be respected, but someone collected the runes and the Runic Wars started.
Or, we will have an event that will involve the runes and endup in the construction of those "sanctuaries/vaults" to keep the runes apart, maybe a peace accord, where 5 nations each keep one rune. I am just guessing the places, if you look at the art of the structures, you might have a clue of the place in Runeterra it might be.
Just so you know those things in the Call of Power cinematic are shards of the actual World Runes.
For all we know, the actual World Runes would have been massive, maybe even similar in appearance to the Rune Reforged pages in the game.
