Are we ever gonna have a gay champion?

Hey! I was wondering if you guys have ever consider the posibility of making a gay champion in the future. I'm not talking about the likes of Taric/Ezreal (circlejerk we are use to) but an actual story involved around two characters of the same gender. I think that would be very interesting. Imagine someone like Senna for Lucian, that kind of thing.

Would you be ok with it if Riot just outright came out and said that Taric is gay, in fact, why does it even matter?

League does very little to make their champions about romance unless it's a special case. Such as Lucian.

There are barely any champions that really have any defining relationships anyway.

Ashe and Trynd are really the only two that are actual couples. None of it really being important in their lore. Ez and Lux are supposedly dating.

There are love interests outside of this. But that's about it.

In short: Join the League. Never get laid.

I support the LGBT population...however, do we really need a character to be all about their sexuality? That's not a step in the right direction and for all you know Draven or even Jayce might be gay. However, it's not important to how they fight and romance arcs aren't common in LoL lore for the subject to even come up.

Well, there's not much in the official lore about the sexuality of any of the champions. Who knows how many of them already are?

Short Answer from me: Yes, but please not just a stereotype. That doesn't help anyone. Better a champion who happens to be gay than a champion who is just defined by "shitty gay joke". Same way they handled Lucian. The community will be immature about it, they always are (just like with Lucian), but they'll get over it.

It's nothing wrong to make a whatever champ and mention that he has a girl/boyfriend (idk how gays refer to their partner so I just use the standard gf/bf) who has the same sex as the champ in the lore, whether this particular bf/gf either died/went missing/whatever and trigger this champ to become what he/she is right now.

That is ok, what imo is not ok is creating a champion that is made just to sell and appeal to certain demographics. That is, well debatable but characterisation and artistic creation should always comes first is what I am trying to say.

But really not many people actually care whether a champ is homo or heterosexual, Cho'gath may be one, who knows. It really shouldn't matter.

We need Ahri to be lesbian. Because we don't want Ahri to pair with anyone.

Yea this just doesn't necessary to me. Doesn't alter or change gameplay in any way.

I wouldn't mind if they did. In fact, It would be nice if one did come along. But I'd rather it be part of the natural development of the character. Not forced just so we can check it of a list as having had one.

I don't really care either way. It'd be great if we did get one, and I would hope they would do it justice and stray away from anything too cliche. But on the same token I wouldn't be offended if they never have one. I don't feel it's a "need" ya know.

You mean Graves and Twisted Fate?

What I don't get is why it has to be said. Why do sexual orientations even matter, and why must they be declared? You don't hear riot when they come out with a champion and say "by the way, this ones straight". They wouldnt because it doesnt affect the gameplay. It truely does not matter,
