An already well designed character, with mysterious background and unusual motivation got combined with unchallenged perfect gameplay and kit.
And with his skin he gets to live out his fantasies as a supreme being, above all and in greatest dimensions. From a gameplay perspective the movements are still fluent, yet feel different from the original and take it a step further.
4/4 perfection

underworld. i dont own any kong skins but i yearn for this one someday
recon. i like all of his skins pretty equal tho.
Darius. As much as people are going to cry about this, he's a champion where if you don't play him correctly, you're going to miss out on A LOT of potential power. A good Darius will always find a way to be an oppressive lane bully. Others will complain about Teemo.
If you play Darius right, people will run the other way when they see you on their screen.
Favorite skin is probably Thunder Lord Ornn.
... Jinx, because I have a thing for manic pixie girls. And Miss Fortune, because you can never go wrong with a sexy pirate woman.
As for favorite skin... Pulsefire Ezreal, I spent $25 on it.
Tristana and her Demon skin. I've always liked her design, it's not your typical fantasy elf or goblin, it's more unique and her character is aggressive but playful which is show-cased well with the relationship with rumble and teemo. The demon skin highlights her character in a fantastic way and the physical design along with the art is fantastic.
Prestige Akali - one of the best skins in the game imo. Even though prestige skins get so much hate this one is one of the first ones that was really good. The blue colors and vfx contrast the gold well and the SFX sounds so amazing. The ring animations feels very smooth, it's imo one of the better ones. The auto animation VFX is super smooth to the point where I almost never cancel it while using the skin. It's also one of the most bought/popular skins in the game. I honestly feel that without KDA Akali this game would be totally different. The cultural impact that the skin has brought is massive.
Star Guardian - the best SG skin even though it's animations are bad. This is an iconic skin for the girls and gays who play league.
Prestige - high class and the best prestige skin, I would even consider it above Akali's. Everyone liked this skin.
Dawnbringer - beautiful skin it brought peace to our world
Divine Sword - lovely elegant beautiful amazing I do not have enough words to describe it
