Would the term "Crusader" be inappropriate for League's world?

I'm having one of my Champion Concepts given the title of "The Dark Crusader", but would such a moniker be inappropriate for the setting?

EDIT: To put it in perspective, my Champion, Celes, is part of the Demacian Crusaders, an order of the king's knights dedicated to hunting down demons, dark wizards, Void monsters, etc. Their Crusade, so to speak, is against evil forces that threaten to corrupt or destroy Demacia and its people. They aren't necessarily nobility or military, but they're still honored and revered by the Demacian people for keeping them safe from those things that "go bump in the night".

Celes, however, has the complication of being bound to a cursed Darkin sword called Ebonmere, which forces her to embrace a dark side to herself. She wants to use this dark power for good, but it has its price.

I really like the term crusader. Also the term paladin.

We need some crusaders and paladins in league.

There is no crusade without religion and there is no religion in Runeterra.

Crusader should be an appropriate term for the League world. It's not tied to any specific real world religions.

That would suggest that Runeterra had in its history a or multiple Crusades. All of our Crusades, even the name Crusades, are liked with the Christian faith...and there is no indication that Runeterra has anything close resembling a Christian Church, even in terms of practises.

Yes it would be okay. A crusader is merely a warrior, often times a religious one, whom in on a crusade. The simple act of going on a crusade makes them a crusader.

So the question is this. . . .What is it your champion is in search of? What has driven him to take up this crusade?

Well, Diana was considered a crusader for a good while. The term crusade was born with the christian crusades but it extended to every faith or religion that wants to impose themselves over others.
