Guinsoo is a Rioter. Not sure about the rest but some of the item names are Dota references.
Doran's been a figure in the lore for a long time, though his position has changed, and most recently according to Yi's short story, he was Yi's teacher.

for the most part items are named after people who were influential or involved with the game's rise in popularity/creation. Some though are people from the lore. If it's a name that seems natural then it's probably lore related. If it looks like something you'd make with leet speak then it's probably a username of a player.
these items are for the most part those kind of items with things referring to targon, acended, watchers, aspects, etc. all being lore related. the things that have a name with an apostrophe s are typically items that were created in honor of a player.
