I long for the day when the Aspects let Aurelion Sol go. But that could lead to a cataclysm of galactic proportions. If only there was a way to get this mighty dragon to forgive this world, so that he may return to his days of creating universal wonders for us lowly mortals to gaze upon in wonder.

If only Targonians weren't such pricks.

Plot twist: Calls for Kalista, Kalista takes his soul kills.... targon, and then goes ahead to turn into this awesome ghost space vengeful dragon! :DDD

Aurelion Sol has really good character development and I like the situation they put him in, it really shows him as a character.

No, seriously. I'm honestly completely baffled. I seriously have no idea where the Semi-Greek mountain city became a space-faring nation. If Targon is capable of taking to the stars, what puts them in relation to other nations? Hell, as far as we know, Piltover, Zaun, and Bandle City haven't even attempted to enter space, and they're the most advanced nations on the continent. Sure, I have a feeling magic will come in and explain some of that. but that doesn't change the fact that Targon alone could probably wipe out everyone else if they just felt like it.

Call me stubborn when I say that I like the old lore, but at least there the power-curve for each nation wasn't so drastically stupid. Like seriously, we just got out of a lore event involving some "Yar-Har" pirates, and suddenly we ascended to nations that are probably at a <3.0 on the Kardashev scale.

Am I the only one here who isn't too thrilled about suddenly having space-faring cosmic aliens in league? Not only is it kinda outta left field but... um... stories on a cosmic level REALLY diminish the personal conflicts and dramas that are more interesting to read. Who cares if Garen and Kat finally confess their feelings? If Shen redeems Zed or kills him? If Jhin is caught? If Amumu finds a friend, or if Poppy realizes she's the hero? Who gives a crap about the shadow isles and the harrowing? It's all specks of sand in the universe now that the scope of the story involves god-beings and aliens of unfathomable power.

I like the dude's kit... but I think his lore is awful for the kind of setting league has and that the writers will forget about A-Sol pretty quick once the Targon thing is done, because ultimate cosmic beings are REALLY hard to write for. He ruins any story he's part of the second he picks a side... and if he doesn't then he's irrelevant to the story since he isn't doing anything. From a writing perspective, I wish they'd gone with something less alien, omnipotent and absurd in power level. I mean... unless Garen does super saiyan, who can rival the invincible super space dragon?

Well we don't know for what reason the targonians did that to him. I mean they did force Sol to close a rift to the void for them,which might have saved runeterra,so maybe they enslaved him for the greater good.

Though in the end it is rather tragic,Sol is geniunly sad about the death of one of his stars and his lore makes it sound like they forced him to kill some beings that he considered to be his equal,maybe even his friends.

I really didn't get "Fatherly Spirit" from Aurelion.

He's an immortal.... thing, that for the most part, just cares about stars. He didn't seem to care about the common struggles of mortals, or even the struggles of other immortals. He only stooped to meet the Targonians because they were one of THE most advanced forms of life in the entire universe, and even those guys bored him eventually.

He doesn't care about the frozen watchers, or the sudden plague of undeath in the shadow isles, or even preventing normal death. Like he probably could just kill Kindred, but nah. In fact I didn't really get the feeling that he felt sad about killing other celestial beings, being that he'd rather kill them than watch more stars die.

Honestly if the Targonians didn't do what they did, I imagine one of two things would happen:

Void rifts quietly open on Runeterra and across the universe. Horrors spill out, billions die underneath a tidal wave of insatiable death bugs.

Sol notices several planets infested with void abominations. Aurelion replaces those planets with stars. He likes stars better anyway.

Thing I don't get/like is HOW. They gave him an enchanted space crown, but its actually that powerful to control a being who can make galaxies? Kinda nonsense
