I honestly don't get how broken the next champion Riot makes can be lore-wise

You have the personification of death, basically omnipresent and omnipotent Kindred.

A being that protects all of creation from being totally obliterated, basically a guardian angel or god Bard.

And now we have a being that is clearly so powerful and so gargantuan that he has the ability to destroy stars (which vary in size from the size of our Earth, to our sun, and to our whole damn solar system) and travel galaxies (which are millions of light years apart).

Honestly, can you get more broken? This wouldn't be a problem if all champions had a similar power level in lore (Which works in Smite since everyone is a God or God-like being) but why should anyone carry about MFS struggle when we have a champion that could crush Runeterra with his fingertips. Can't wait for a galaxy eater or universe shifter champion.

I'm just going to enjoy seeing him die to Graves shotgun. Or Jax lamp.

We can't.

It's bad writing.

Kindred isn't omnipotent, only omnipresent.

And yes you can get more broken by having someone who can transcend the very fabric of reality itself. Even though Bard and Aurelion work on universe scale they're still within the bounds of realities and dimensional laws.

Kindred is the personification of death, yes, but they don't actually kill people. In fact, they probably can't. They just help people's souls pass on after death, whether they choose to embrace their fate or run from it.

It's been hinted at least a little that although Bard's purpose is extremely high-level, he may not actually be all that powerful. It's just that the power he does have makes it nigh impossible to catch him or figure out exactly what the fuck he is, so he remains a wandering enigma.

But yeah, Aurelion Sol looks to be League's Galactus. I like his personality so far enough that no amount of irony can make me dislike him, though.

Don't judge a book by it's cover. The Aspects inside Pantheon, Leona, and Diana are probably, when released, about the same size as Aurelion, meaning that all three could likely beat him if they joined forces.

Actually...Kindred is just the end, not the means. Kindred only has omnipresence. Kindred would not go out of it's way just to kill 1 guy when it isn't his time.

I can't remember where I read it, but I like the idea that his Rift persona is his avatar and that he himself might be 'looming' over the rift, ready to use his real abilities.

The comparison between Aurelion Sol and Smaug is amazing and as a LOTR fan, I love it so much haha
