So lets make this clear in the lore before the void update with Kai'sa as little as we knew it was made clear that it was something like a realm of purple monsters, But with the void update its more like a nothingness with some gigantic eye beings. And if I'm not wrong some Rioter said that the beings like vel kha , kog etc don't exist there they spawn from the portals (created by the watchers) and the void it self is colorless but for visual reasons they had to color it so they chose purple to make a contrast to the nature green colors. Since the void is unnatural. So now the Void is like a cosmic vacuum that wants to swallow everything in existence. But now the portal thingy in Freljord is frozen they can't get in from there. So that is why they have these little beings like kha, kog, vel, rek are running around and killing stuff ¿ Because the tiny portals they create aren't big enough for the watchers themselves to fit through right ¿ And the corruption thingy is now more of breaking of the mind rather then a physical corruption like Rasho from Nami's comic. But in the same time the guy from Kai'sa's comic instantly got corrupted. Any thoughts about this ¿ Did you like it before where it was just a realm of purple monster or now ¿

Frejlord isn't the only place with a rift to The Void. The Void wants to destroy existence. As you said, The Void is nothingness, so anything that isn't "nothing" disturbs it.

You're thinking about The Void as a small scale thing. It isn't.

Can't vouch for Kog'Maw or Cho'Gath, but voidborns exist in Runeterra because they spawned from one of the rifts. There's one in Shurima, one somewhere in the sea (probably near Bilgewater), one in Frejlord, probably one in Ionia and probably many more spread across Aurelion's creation. I reckon most voidborns came from Shurima. ######Now that It knows "reality" exists, It wants to destroy it. That includes everything in Aurelion's domain.

To be fair, apparently Kai’sa wasn’t actually in the Void, she was in the fringelands that borders the Void. Parts that are “consumed” by the Void in the broadest sense of the word. I wish this has been made clearer somehow because it does actually show just how devastating and scary the Void might be, while also logically displaying a sense of character for Kai’sa. Originally it’d seemed a kid had fallen into the Void itself and managed to survive largely unscathed.
