It would sadden me and a great many others if Taric lost his fabulosity and campy feel. It is part of his identity as a champion and it would be incredibly sad if you guys performed some kind of virtual gay conversion therapy on him and he started behaving like Garen. Don't worry they said that Taric is still going be outrageous.
Also I guess that with him already that far in production,they'd probably know what they want to do with him already and in that case it would make sense for the japanese team to base japanese taric on the reworked one. And japanese taric sounds even more fabulous than the current one,soo.....

As far as i know, they gone that way anyway. Well but Taric is something different than Gangplank and Garen. Taric looks horrible ingame at the moment and Gangplank just was a complete Joke, so they wanted him to fit more in the "brutal pirate without any mercy" role. Garen was kinda like that post VU/VO, he just got new lines and a updated voiceover. Taric's identity is not a joke at all, it's just for some of the community.
So visually that what we know about Taric: Is still outrageous. Still is fabulous (as far as i know still long hair, but maybe a different cut). Kinda funny/charming, but not a joke overall.
But hey he is the next rework out. So just give riot some feedback when he's on PBE. I overall liked all reworks that where shipped till yet so i have good hopes that my gem support will shine again with better visuals and gameplay.
Taric rework is what will keep me playing this game actually. I mean, if he stops being as awesome as he is, then it's the end D:
as long as i can still hit my flash dazzle and spam ctrl 1 the rework is a success
