Why I dont like the new Pulsefire skins, and how Riot can improve them [Long?]

First off, Ill give credit when due, these look great. gj.

BUT I have a couple problems with these. a couple which arent fixable, but thats fine.

So im going to start off with the my 'unfix-able' problem. Lots of things about these skins just seem to contradict what Pulsefire was/is even about. Pulsefire is/was about a Dystopian, postcog Piltover whos made amazing advancements in things like time travel. But from what weve been left to think, getting access to time travel and stuff is REALLY hard. Ezreal even had to steal his, then Caitlyn hunted him down for it. So how in the world do all 3 of them have it unless they work with Caitlyn??? And if theyre not even in Piltover, doesnt that defeat what were lead to believe? Were lead to believe that Piltover has become this humongous place for advancement and technology since its current era. Buuutttt if other places have also discovewred time travel... then wtf special thing has Piltover done..? But even if they work with Caitlyn through time travel, that takes away from her character of this badass time cop who can single handedly take down people trying to mess with time. So this is one of my biggest problems with these skins: how in the world do they fit in without having a negative impact on the skin line/lore?

And talking of the PF duo, we have another problem. Why are shen and riven using swords when guns are obviously the superior weapon in this time? Caitlyns gun for example can probably blow people to bits from MILES away. So why use a sword at all? Heck, it doesnt even make sense in our current world to use a sword over a gun. TF Is better in this department. But tf ALSO takes away from the theme of believability that Pulsefire had. there were no magical or technical stuff that borders not believable. It was just simply a time cop and a chrono fugitive (messing with time) from a dystopian future. Everything about it seemed p believable and like it could actually happen, as time travel would be strictly under watch. Now with adding swords and just how tf fights people, it takes away from its believably from it.

#Ok so now for problems i have that are fixable

SFX

Thee sfx sound WAYYYYY too harsh for Pulsefire. They sound more battlecast than the smooth, futuristic PF. Take Caitlyn's SFX for example, her R and Q are really good examples. They sound techy, but also smooth and elegant. Just softening up the VFX on them would do wonders to make them better. Remember, Caits SFX combine elegance and technical, so somewhere CLOSER to that would be great. Riven is REALLY bad here btw, makes her subconsciously feel clunky

Textures

I really love TF's. All I think he could use is a tad more brown to fit the color scheme?

Rivens textures are p good. I think maybe mixing up her colors a bit may make her look better? maybe try more dark browns or something (not too much tho)

Shens textures feel a bit all over the place imo. He has so much red and black compared to whites, browns, and blues. Also his shoulder pad looks a bit big and intrusive, at least in the teaser. maybe make it a tad smaller?

VFX

Heres another part where I feel they just dont deliver.

Tf's rings around him have the same problem as SFX, they focus more on the technical side rather than the elegant side of pulsefire.

Riven suffers really badly from VFX too. Theres a lot of visual noise, Technical side over elegant problems (This is probably what she suffers the most), etc.

Same problem for shen, it doesnt feel elegant enough for Pulsefire. When i talk elegant I want to point my finger to PF Caits VFX, especially her ult vfx. It feels elegant but with that technical side. not the other way around.

#Overall, the main problem with these skins is that they suffer a lot from focusing too much on the machine, technical part instead of Piltovers elegance, as shown by PF Cait. They also seem to contradict a lot of what Pulsefire is about, but theres nothing that can be done on that. Thoughts?

Actually I am pretty sure that Shen works with Caitlyn, considering that he is a keeper of balance within the lore,so him keeping the balance of time intact makes a whole lot of sense.

And Twisted Fate pretty much screams "futuristic piltover aesthetic",while Riven looks a bit more punklike, which actually makes her look like a zaunite in Piltover armor(more or less making her the pulsefires counterpart to Vi)

It is actually somewhat recommended to use combat knives than guns if you can manage to get into melee range with your opponent assuming both of you are well-armed, and ofc if you have the finesse for it. The reason for that is because in melee range, long guns are rather obsolete due to its length (though I guess you can still try to bash people with it), and being well-armed it is likely that they have ballistic protection which can block bullets to some extent or at least faring better when it comes to bullets than knives (due to how ballistic vests are constructed it actually doesn't provide much protection against knives and sharp weapons; unless they also somehow choose to wear the body armour for knives too, though I'd imagine they wouldn't be very mobile if that's the case). As a result, knives are still recommended for melee fights.

But yeah.

In the end, I just really don't want them to skim out on some fresh quotes that relate to the story of the PROJECT:, Pulsefire, and Program skins.

I'm glad Riot's doing a lot of lore nowdays, but the lore, non canonical to rune terra or otherwise, do not need to be congregated into pages of text. Not everyone's going to read it, and it ruins the immersiveness of even owning those skins in the first place.

What I really think they were going for when they picked the people for Pulsefire skins is how well they could work with together. They are basically a poking team that's good at hit & run. Riven can play a good Top champ, Ezreal mid, Caitlyn Adc, Shen Supp, and Twisted Fate Jungle.

Riven is just really good at top & can help roam later on in the game. Ezreal can really poke well mid to deny people CS. Twisted Fate can help him get into that just by jumping in & poking a bit himself from time-to-time. Shen is good at positioning and CC so Caitlyn safe can get in a lot of attacks at a safe distance while the enemy has trouble getting away. Caitlyn happens to be weak up close & Shen can protect her very well. Shen can block her from damage from pokes & if anyone gets up close to her he can just taunt them & they will be in range for Caitlyn to set up at least 2 head shots. And of corse Twisted Fate is just extremely good at roaming & if he can pop in & get a stun his team has more than enough fire power to finish them off.

I just hate Pulsefire Riven because it sucks imo tbh. In addition to that it means she won't get a SG skin in which I think she'd be a perfect fit for.
