Eternal Damnation; What happens to Mordekaiser's thralls after his death?

So I've been thinking. Morde does have his Liches bound to his bones so that he'll always get resurrected but what happens to his lesser thralls and wraiths he enslaved when he is slain in battle? Are they freed, are their souls finally safe from the iron grip he holds on them?

Or are they forever damned? Do they simply vanish, torn to shreds by their master being slain, his will no longer binding them and simply devouring them?

It depends on how Mord's necromancy works.

Is it a self-sustaining spell? In which case they would probably become free willed or mindless, depending on how much (if any) of the original personality remains.

Or are they given impetus by Mord himself, animated by nothing more than the dark force of his iron will? In which case, they would probably just die when he passes.

i think they are still bound to him.

Somebody has to go and find his bones after all.

If we want to take in-game mechanics as evidence, Morde's ghost disappears as soon as he dies.

Correct me if I'm wrong...

But IIRC, Mordekaisers Skeleton is no longer complete, so his Liches were unable to revive him, but his Skull was in the Blessed isles when The Ruined King and his buddies showed up. So it's the Black mist that revived him this time?

If that's the case, I'd guess the souls he enslaved will become a part of the mist.

Mordekaiser never truly dies so this doesn't ever become an issue I'd think.

I have a feeling that something REAL bad, like shadow isle class stuff will happen to runeterra if you kill Mord off. The souls he enslaved are countless that it might have enough to sustain him even if you blow his remains.
