I'm extremely disappointed in these splash arts.
They share a common background and layout, which just speaks of laziness. Why couldn't the artists be more creative than that?
Soraka's splash is the best among the group. MF's has a bit of swag. Ezreal's is acceptable. I don't like how Syndra is standing towards her side, but at least she's sort of unique and to each their own taste.
Ahri's splash, however, is a complete failure. This is not something I'm expecting for a legendary skin splash. Besides being too similar to the other splash arts, her posture doesn't even feel realistic. Her left hand's fingers are all stretching out, as if she deliberately wants to show off her (mediocre) nail polish to her audience. Her right leg is also in an awkward position. Why is she bending it so much? Furthermore, there seems to be so much focus on her chest that her head is completely relegated to a secondary role in the splash art. The tails are all so thin, especially compared to Ahri's other skins. They don't feel like they're a part of her body.
This is not the quality of work I'm expecting from Riot but rather from a "small indie company." Compared to previous Star Guardian splashes and the splash arts in the past two years or so, these are just poorly done and simply decrease my desire to use these skins.
There's two weeks before these skins go live and there is enough time to make these splash arts better. I doubt their overall layout can be changed (although it would be great if they could be changed), but Ahri's splash could be heavily improved. There needs to be more attention directed towards her head rather than her chest. Make her head bigger and shift the lighting towards her face. Change her left arm/hand completely and have her do something else that isn't awkward (definitely not trying to show off her nails). Fix the right leg as well. It's ok if she's running, but please put her leg in a normal position, not a position humans can't normally reach. Make her tails look somewhere similar to the tails in her classic/Arcade splash.
