Purity, Peace, and Monster hunting
After reaching M4 on both Lucian and Shauna Vayne I began to really take in interest in their characters. Sure I might main support, but a lore geek knows no bounds, and so I took a look into their lores. With the more I read, the more I realized that them not meeting each other is pretty lame... Let's get into why and discuss it shall we?
#Shadow and Fortune This story, which involved Lucian going to bilgewater during the harrowing and meeting Miss Fortune, shows just how capable of dealing with Thresh Lucian is. Spoiler warning!!! Sort of.... (You can check out "Shadow and Fortune" first if you don't want the spoilers) Basically Thresh completely overwhelms Lucian, Lucian breaks free seems to use the culling and then Thresh gets away leaving behind a shaken flustered and frustrated Lucian to be confronted by Sarah Fortune. He turns down her offer to join her crew, they seem to be friends, but Lucian informs her he has to free his wife's soul. Here's the thing: Lucian just can't beat Thresh in his own. Thresh literally is just going to continue toying with Lucian because he can't hurt Thresh enough for it to be significant and Thresh can't seem to resist the temptation to taunt Lucian even if it will result in Lucian breaking free again and forcing him to retreat.
#Agony's Embrace and the Night Hunter With the Evelynn rework it was confirmed by Evelynn herself that she killed Vaynes parents. Check the skin spotlights video on Evelynn's interactions and look for her interaction with Vayne if you want to see for yourself. With that said, I can't remember any more lore being added to Shauna Vayne .... Like ever again... At all...
#Demacian Hunters and a Mutual Goal I'm not saying Lucian and Vayne need to become the Batman and Robin of runeterra, however; and this is the bit you can discuss in the comments below, if Riot isn't really gonna touch their lore then why not have a story where Vayne and Lucian meet and talk about Lucian's goal of killing Thresh and freeing Senna's soul. While Vayne isn't a sentimental person, getting the opportunity to venture into the shadow isles and kill large quantities of monsters sounds like something someone who hates monsters would leap at the chance to do.
It's just my opinion that they both could use a story to further investigate their characters rather than leaving them stagnant in story purgatory.
So what do you all think?
