Interesting thing about Syndra's story (SPOILER)

At the end of the story, Syndra traps Kalan (vastayan that went to noxus) in a stasis-sleep she was in. The sleep makes them replay a memory over and over again until they are awaken, for example for Syndra it was when she first manifested her powers at such an extreme degree due to abuse.

For Kalan, it's when he first decided to betray Ionia. He was seeing a seer, and the seer claimed he had two choices: to be a hero but outlive his children, or for his children to prosper but him to be a villain.

While the wording seems to avoid saying so directly, it heavily implies that if he chooses to go to noxus his children will outlive him

And the stasis stops the aging process, meaning he likely will be alive for a long, long time.

Either his children find a similar source of immortality and prosper, or he is released within a short timespan and dies soon (possibly not by syndra, who wants him to live as long as possible in stasis so he may suffer) after.

I hope either Kalan or his children become notable characters in the future, it'd be really saddening to just hear of Kalan's tragedy and Riot just being like "yeah he's just here to tie the loose ends in this short story and stuff he won't be in anything else". Seeing that last part was probably my favourite as it was the part that affected me the most, I was not prepared for those feels.

Or maybe the vastaya are naturally immortal, then rip. Though "taken before their time" implies they have a natural lifespan, and the entire conversation implies that vastaya usually die after their parents, which is not necessarily normal in an immortal race

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it was never said that Kalan's children will outlive him. The quote is

“And my little ones?”

“They live. They prosper. If not in this land, then another. But you will never look upon their faces again, and if you ever deviate from this dark path, they will be lost.”

I think vastayan might be semi immortal, if I'm remembering correctly. Also I think the seer (who I think is Soraka, btw) mainly implies that they live a full life vs dying young.
