Weapon archetypes

I recently read a theory that Morgana might end up with a whip as her weapon after her VGU and thought that I would like to ask the community what kind of weapons we are still missing in the game.

Personally, I would love to see a hextech chainsaw. I like this weapon type, it can be really flexible (a chainsaw weapon can be heavy and brutal, but can be designed as fast and elegant as well) and we don't have something similar in this game until now.

Scissors would be another thing I would enjoy, I like the symbolism they come with. Maybe as some ritualistic magical tool.

What kind of weapons would you like to see in the game?

I don't know ... I can't think of any champion that wields a claw ... Or I don't know what to call it. You know, the same weapon that Soi Fon from Bleach uses ? Just a single claw on one finger ? I think that'd be cool :o

I think that we need more characters with nontraditional weapons. The reason why Jax and Gragas are cool is because they beat around their opponent with a LAMP and a BOOZE KEG and still manage to be badass while doing it.

I'd like more characters like that.

For physical weapons: flails, pickaxes (I feel like a miner would make for a really interesting jungler in terms of what they could do with gameplay), slingshots.

Magic-wise, I'd love to see a champ that's sort of traditional stage-magic focused. Summoning minions out of a hat, making things disappear under a cloth (some sort of execute ability maybe?), that sort of stuff.

Most standard fantasy weapons are in the game already, but I guess we don't have a proper chain champion (Thresh wields something closer to a kusarigama). Metal claws, fans and potions (Singed doesn't really count) are also something that's currently missing from the roster.

On the magical side, a shadowcaster, plague doctor and psion/esper would be interesting archetypes.

Pike. Poleaxe. Lance, on horseback, used correctly. War chariots An actual longsword Goedendag would be sweet

Hmm, a lot of the weapons I want are in the game. Just on kits that don’t showcase the weapon, at all. Like, sword and shield is a classic. But it’s on Leona, who... shoots sun beams with all her abilities.

Ohh you know what’d be fun? A character whose weapon was a battering ram. The full cart and everything. I want to see how that’d work.

Camille scissors?

Whip is certainly something that would be cool, although it would thematically fit Zyra better than Morgana.

I'd like to see a huge paint brush or a tattoo gun on a new art type champion. Paint brush on a traditional and whimsical character or ink gun on a more radical character.

I want someone with a mobile ballista / mangonel. Seeing a character roll this thing around and fling cannonballs into the enemy team would be cool.

Or maybe even something like this concept art from Universe. Would be a cool idea for a Targonian ADC!

An actual mage staff. Not a wand like Lux has, a staff like Saruman's from Lord of the Rings.

A champion that uses darts/syringes would be neat. Maybe even having the ability to purchase different coatings/injections for them that have different affects.

I was thinking about... Fans maybe ? Just like the way Kitana from Mortal Kombat have them.

I know Karma had fans back then, but they are kinda obsolete right now, she don't use them anymore, but it would be cool to have another Ionian champion using this kind of weapon.

Oh, and I was also thinking about non-traditional weapons just like Paint Brushes, having some kind of an artist that paints the floor or marks the enemies with some kind of new magic spells.
