So if Lux were to run into Sylas again, what would she think of him?

Would she be terrified of him because of how he escaped using her powers? Would she be subject to something akin to the Florence Nightingale effect (i.e. attracted to him)?

And how, in story, would he react to her? Would he try to take her away from her responsibilities and get her to join his revolution?

Really interesting question, was just chewing on this- I'm sure everyone has a similar story: You have someone you really cared for/put a lot of trust in, they betrayed that trust and you run into them later down the line. You feel that betrayal but also you really cared about this person at some point in your life, so do you give them the time of day?

I like to think that they're gonna end up being the Professor Xavier and Magneto of Demacia's mages. Lux has seen plenty of good in the world and knows that Demacia can make good use out of mages who use their powers beneveolently like she does. Sylas however hates that idea and just wants to burn the whole kingdom to the ground, since he thinks Demacia will never change.

I'd expect her to be quite annoyed, seeing as she now knows she's been manipulated. He might give her a wink, but probably wouldn't try to recruit her cause she knows what's up now.

Here's the deal. Sylas is, in my opinion, every nightmare, every feeling of hatred, despair, depression, dislike, distrust, sorrow, regret, and fear that exists in the Core of Lux's character--that is, her dislike for what she is, her hatred for her lack of full control, and her fear that one day her power will escape her control and actually hurt someone. Using her power, Sylas hurt people. He killed people. With her power.

As someone who didn't have to resort to violence to make herself known, I don't believe that Lux has any positive feelings for him. I don't even believe that she has any negative feelings for him. Not only did he betray her, but he caused her to betray herself in the worst way. Yes, she led to his escape and him hurting people, but he also led to her powers hurting people.

He broke all the effort she ever put into bettering herself for her people. If she sees him, pretty sure she's going to completely obliterate him. To obsolve herself. To save her people. And to save him from himself.

Sylas and Lux are diametrically opposed which is probably why they are involved at all when in my opinion Sylas's bio makes Luxs' lore messy from a timeline point-of-view

It's worth it for the metaphor though

She's the squeaky clean idealized mage that Demacia could perhaps one day swallow and he completely validates Demacias' fear. It's not even an issue of meeting Sylas's demands anymore because there's no guarantee that he would even stop. There's just a certain point where the oppressed become the oppressor and it isn't about getting even anymore.

If they meet Lux would likely try to stop Sylas by any means necessary.

I imagine it was somewhat traumatizing to see her own power being used to kill everyone around her, but upon reflection, and given enough time, I believe someone like Lux would eventually be able to see the big picture - a caged, cornered man with nowhere else to turn, about to die, grasped for a tool he could use to break free and escape. That's just his kind of magic, some kind of redirection. To hate or fear him for that alone would make her no different from those who would hate her for her light. He used what he was born with.

Would he try to take her away from her responsibilities and get her to join his revolution?

Probably. He would then see it's impossible to recruit her and think that her power is going to waste, but still choose to keep her magic a secret (despite the upheaval it would cause) in accordance with his special interactions with her. I believe that it's because he does truly respect and care for her in a way, as the only kind person who gave him a chance and a fellow mage.

I feel like she'd be a bit mortified honestly. Lux is one of the few champions that is entirely morally "good" and when Sylas broke free, he used her power to do so, he manipulated her to get free, so in a sense all the people he's killed and how he got free is indirectly her fault, not that she should be put in jail or anything for it, as she never could have known, probably. She's probably just hate him, for all that he's done after betraying and manipulating her like that, not even giving him the time of day. Sure, Lux is a very bright positive person, but there's only so much you can put someone through.

Lux's seemingly boundless optimism would probably have her try to turn Sylas away from the dark path that he is heading.

I feel like Lux would at least try to hear him out. She could be talking through gritted teeth, but she would be talking. I doubt their second meeting would come before Lux learned of his rebellion, and I believe both parties still hold some degree of affection towards each other. She'd probably try to persuade him towards nonviolent measures, or perhaps even to leave Demacia, but I don't think she would scorn him outright.

It should be noted that we have no idea who all was present at Sylas's would-be execution, it's very possible, even likely, that Lux was the only decent person there.

sylas probably not gonna redeem himself and lux probably gonna kill him,lol that's gonna be a fun way to end sylas story :)

I think lux would probably just get one shot before she could react, because thats what always happens when i see sylas now, and she would probably respawn 9 months later with a child...
