Skins should give unique character icons in game.

When I talk about icons, i mean the champion icon heads, when u press tab, or at the bottom beside your abilities and stats.

Now It would make more sense, and would be more rewarding if when in a game, eg. u pressed tab, instead of the regural annie icon Annie , you'd see eg: the frostfire annie icon.

Thoughts?

Perhaps this could be implemented into the mastery system, as a reward? :P

i think this sets a bigger incentive to get ultimate skins as they change the picture. but as for normal skins personalty it would affect my mini-map clarity

On the HUD sounds fine. Anywhere else will be a clarity issue. Especially for new players.

yes, please. it shouldn't be on minimap, but I think a skin icon in the HUD is totally good and not game breaking nor it will affect any clarity in game.

I believe the reason they don't due this is because of clarity, as it may be difficult to tell certain champions apart when using certain skins.

I do like the idea though.

i always wanted that to be implemented, its feels strange when you're playing a champ with a skin and his icon is the classic... i really want it on Evelynn i bought safecracker skiin just so i dont have to look to her model again

pro- stealth all game con- she's so so so so ugly

its a blessing that enemies cant see her

I think the problem with that is just that it would be confusing for everybody who doesn't happen to recognize every single skin by sight. So the veterans would think it cool but newer players would complain. I don't think that's worth it really

I thought when I first bought a skin it would do this, but quickly realized that it didn't. I think it would be cool, but I also understand the concerns about clarity. Maybe an in-game setting to turn the customized portraits off if you find them too confusing? this way, people who want this can still have it, and people who are affected by it can turn it off. (and turning it off on the HUD and the minimap should be separate)

No no no no no.

Let the skins work for mini map also.

Then release Definitely not Darius, and Definitely not Garen.

Catastrop1/4/2016, 1:21:35 PM1 votes

Well, they could just make it work for the Mini-map but include an option to turn it off for anyone who's having trouble recognizing champions. They have an option to turn off ambient effects, so I would think they can do this with ease.

FastAsHeck1/3/2016, 1:11:13 PM1 votes

It should only be for your own hud and maybe the scoreboard, would be confusing on the minimap. Or just add an option to turn it off, how hard can that be? :P

DwarvenGiant1/3/2016, 2:13:33 PM1 votes

As long as it isn't on the minimap/kill announcement it should be fine. Although, it would decrease the value of Ultimate skins a little.

Fisherman Fízz1/3/2016, 2:28:53 PM1 votes

That would be awesome tbh they should put that on the HUD, as said by other people here :) Fizz

I have a thing where I really confuse Reaper Raka with Kalista at all times. And it is the only skin I see Rakas use.
