For What Are Poros Herded?

In the latest Ask Riot, Scathlocke wrote that “For many weary inhabitants of the Freljord, retiring to greener pastures and becoming a poro herder would be a dream come true…”

Poros cannot be eaten, since a much earlier Ask Riot has confirmed that eating Poro meat makes you a Poro. That constraint on traditional herding purposes leaves milk and fur. Can Poros be milked or sheared or, if not, then for what are they herded?

Also, since a group of Poros is called a fluft, would a herder not instead be called a ‘flufter’?

Wait, THAT'S what eating Poros does? I thought they regenerated from the part you ate and then tore their way out of you Alien-style.

Man, I misread the heck out of that Ask Riot session.

I bet they've got the fluffiest wool though.

Update: Turns out the alien-bursting thing WAS the case.

Maybe their fur?

I bet their soft fur sheds during hotter seasons so that it can be made into strands that can later be made into super cozy clothing. Most likely clothing for children and formal wear.

I'm at least half sure that was a joke answer. Pretty sure most poro questions are.

So it means that Poros CAN be eaten....

Poro milk is delicious. That's why.
