Does Diana actually love Leona?

Or is this the result of the internet shipping them so hard? I just read both of their lores and they are listed as rivals. On top of this, nothing about Diana seems ... friendly. Her attitude, her stance, the way she laughs, even her battle style is the definition of unfriendly. If you aren't praising the moon by the time her Q lands, you're dead. As far as I can tell, everything about her is no nonsense and its hard for me to imagine her loving anyone. Especially another girl, given how strict and closed minded the Solari seem to be. Has Rito ever said anything about their relationship?

Riot as "Company" has never said anything about it... however, Ironstylus, the creator of both champs, said that in his headcanon, they are in love.

i do not see it as a stand alone ship, but they can be seen as strong independent woman that shippers love to throw together for club Les bos (south park reference).

But i think Diana is the essence of hatred, she tried so hard to gain the approval of the elders and they abused her.

Until she snapped and killed them thanks to the moon pwer

Its not canon, its just internet shipping. Some people call the Facebook thing canon, but it really isn't because then we would have to consider everything on Facebook canon. I mean, sure, maybe a crush, but not anymore since I'm pretty sure Diana despises everything Leona is for.

Well two things, first off it's 100% fan created content driving all of that other stuff. Plus Diana and Leona are actually sisters in the actual lore.

so much confusion, diana and leona were close friends in the solari but have no blood relations and diana was hinted to have feelings for leona. However that all changed after the whole diana kills all the elders thing. So yes, it is just a ship, but it does have a reasonable context.

When Ekko came out I thought of Diana as a former Noxian...not Solari, and mother of Riven (with a younger Gragas as the father of Riven after losing a drunken bet, she was supposed to marry a Noxian prince akin to Sephiroth) with Riven being the Mother of Ekko (from a drunken Lucian fling).

I really do like the idea of Diana having an obsessive rivalry with Leona though...it makes for much more interesting lore than the boring old stuff rito used to put out. Diana, right now, is simply too much of a fanatic in character without any quirks in the personality to make her interesting. She's a fanatic who lives to hate fanatics?...it wouldn't surprise me to see Rito throw a wrench in, or at least expand her and Leona's lore to make it much more interesting as they did with Gangplank/Ms. Fortune, Graves/TF.

I am glad they love each other, it makes the anguish inflicted by Diana's obsessive Solari genocide all the more entertaining. Leona is too good at heart to abandon her place as protector of the people, and Diana is too far gone to give up her ideals. Their clash is inevitable, and the suffering is so sweet. Their individual struggles only prolong the torment.

Hello , Diana hasnt got a love story with leona Leona , i send an e-mail to riot and answeared me very soon (some hours later) Diana and leona are just friends protecting each other and create the sun and the moon , the light and the dark toghether , they created "the life". If i get more news about Diana's love story , I will tell you it.Goodbye! And dont worry anymore about that beacuse i was worried too for no reason.. People that doesn't read everything shouldn't comment... community pls. It has been written 50 times (Link, sources, etc) so why are you saying it's "only" internet fan based shipping? when there is actual info and proof from the person who actually CREATED the champions we talk about. x) Either you are not reading everything or you are just being a hater towards LGBTQ which is highlighted here.
