Aww, no interaction between Swain and Kled...

Nothing beyond the generic Noxian interactions? Boo. Would've liked to hear Swain insulting Kled's intelligence.

He doesn't know Kled exists atm. I'd love to see a story explore them finally meeting!

I was personnally hoping for more lines towards Jarvan. Guess they are less the big nemesis they use to be in the old lore. Hum.

Swain dares not look into the swirling madness that is Kled’s soul.

Here's the thing though... I'm not sure Kled is actually a Noxian soldier any more than Poppy is actually the fabled Demacian hero... hear me out.

There's another narrative shoe that has yet to drop regarding what Yordles actually are. The old lore heavily implied that they were aliens that crashed on Runeterra, but given the lack of references to the Bandle City "mothership" in the new lore, I think something very different is up with them now.

This is all conjecture on my part, but Yordles appear to be beings of pure magic, and when they venture outside of their (apparently hyper-enchanted) realm, they seem to take on the qualities of the beings and cultures they run into...

  • Are Corki, Heimerdinger, Ziggs, and Rumble great inventors, or aspects of science and ingenuity shaped by places like Piltover?
  • Are Tristana and Teemo actually part of Bandle's military, or are they reflections of the conflicts and battles of Runeterra?
  • Are Lulu and Veigar wild sorcerers, or are they the result of Yordles coming into contact with the magic of Humans and Vastaya?
  • Is Gnar a cryo-time traveller, or did the magic of true ice manage to preserve a magical effigy of prehistoric savagery and cuteness?

So I wonder... Is Kled ACTUALLY a Noxian super soldier that's been in every war they've ever fought, or is he an incarnation of Noxian military fervor that's been warped by the manic influence of a crazy lizard-thing? If Swain does know of him, maybe it's more like an old Noxian soldier's fable; a humorous tale of unlikely victory shared on the front lines.

NOTE: In my mind none of these musings make Kled any less real! There's probably plenty of champs like Kindred and Kalista that are more like aspects or manifestations than flesh and blood denizens, and that's rad.

Since bringing threads back from the dead is akin to spamming and against the rules, I'm going to have to go ahead and lock this one by sending it into the realm of darkness for voidlings to feast upon.
