Neeko Kind Of Feels Like A Champion Mashup

I like the overall champion design (I posted something slightly similar years ago), but it does feel like her abilities are basically a mashup of enhanced abilities from other champions.

Her W is what Wukong's W should be. Her E is a stronger Zyra E. Her R is a mashup between a Zyra and Amumu ult.

Surprisingly though, I don't entirely think this is a bad thing. Neeko feels like a somewhat familiar champ already, and I'm looking forward to playing her to see if it really does feel like playing a mashups of all those above-mentioned champions. Her skills feel like they do just enough to be new and exciting, without being overly complex like we've seen in a lot of the more recent champion releases / reworks.

Looking forward to seeing her in action.

This year new champs feel like they tried to make ''Accessible'' kits for new players while possessing a high skill cap. It's something I keep seeing since 2 years.

And the designer is Solcrushed, he did a TON of champion reworks before making Neeko, and it's his first new kit from scrap.

He did the reworks of : Galio Sejuani Viktor Gragas Poppy Yorick Gangplank Irelia

And they are all excellent except for Sejuani due ''Reworking a class'' style not working. They are all popular and played alot. Alot of these kits have very unique abilities (Poppy R, Yorick as a whole, Irelia whole kit), so I think Neeko Q,E and R are made ''simple'' on purpose because there's already a ton to learn just with W and passive.

I mean if you really look at it, what champ isn't a mashup of other champs? That's not even inherently a bad thing. You know what happens when we get champs that aren't mashups? Well, CertainlyT usually heads those projects and we see where those go. Also it's Zyra E that I think you're referring to. W plants seeds.
