[Discussion] What champion scares you the most?

For me, it has to be...

##Nautilus

https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/leagueoflegends/images/0/0b/Nautilus_OriginalSkin.jpg

##Reasons

He has a really deep mysterious voice, of a man who's drowned and seen the deepest parts of the ocean (I have Thalassophobia, fear of deep ocean), so anything regarding in that area is terrifying to me lol.

Singed Of course, I mean his lore self, not the guy in the game. He is an absolute sociopath, no empathy and no moral whatsoever.

He doesn't care for anything else but his science, sells poison gas to Noxus for the battlefield, changes the DNA of a guy to a beast just because he was curious if he could create his very own vastaya. And who knows what else he was capable of....

The fact that he isn't a supernatural being, like the demons or Nautilus as a revenant, makes it even scarier in my opinion.

It has to be Nocturne for me. Even though I think he has a lot of untapped potential with his thematic, his ult does what it's supposed to; induce fear. There's nothing comparable to losing almost all your vision and frantically searching the closest teammate while having no idea who it's going to hit.

Zoe not even joking or anything. she reminds me of the cute kid in horror movies that i know is possessed by some sort of nasty, unstable demon/being, and she can destroy me and my entire family while giving me an unsettling smile!

Jhin. Jhin is terrifying in the sense that serial killers are a very real thing, and they did an excellent job making him. He even manages to be scary when he's on the enemy team, as stepping on his traps sometimes triggers voice lines that are almost like him whispering directly into your ear. There's also his alternate color story that really shows how fucked up he is.

I'm surprised noone said Urgot. This guy got shotguns on each legs. Especially High Noon Urgot is scary.

For me, I'd have to pick Thresh Thresh .

With Thresh, Death is not the end of it. This guy will literally hold your soul hostage for the rest of eternity. There's no afterlife for you, just an eternity of being his plaything.

Just ask Senna.

Can I say Ornn ? Not because he himself is scary but because a shy and insular person slowly opening up to the world, only to be betrayed then subsequently lose all the people he slowly grew to like and respect in the world. His volcano then goes dormant, showing a sort of depression on a godly scale to the point where the god of blacksmithing doesn't want to blacksmith anymore.

Ornn's stories have lots of moving parts and I honestly think it's up there with the most heartbreaking lore in the game, especially if you consider the mental aspect of it. Sure he started out not liking people and just wanting to work, but slowly growing to like people only to have then annihilated from the malice of a destructive force (antithetical to what Ornn does) and then giving up on the world for millenia is just a bit too real. A big part of Ornn's lore is opening up to the world despite not wanting people to mess with your stuff, only to have your initial fear of attachment proven entirely correct.

So new Aatrox would actually be horrifying. Imagine being on the battlefield and your ally picks up his sword and immediatly his flesh starts deforming as he starts murdering all near him, adding their flesh to his own until it forms into something resembling Aatrox. He's like John Carpenter's The Thing in a sword. Like seeing several people be killed and then melded together like clay until they form Aatrox would probably scar anybody for life.

Gold Light8/29/2018, 3:35:25 AM3 votes

Honestly? I'd have to say Vel'Koz after his new lore story. You're just a test subject to him, and considering the things he does to gather information, count yourself LUCKY if he chooses to just disintegrate you from the get-go. Those Noxians were left basically brain-dead with their eyes gouged out.

JCPANDIT8/29/2018, 1:55:20 AM3 votes

There’s a large list of Champs I’d never want to be stuck in a room with. Though I don’t think current depictions of him really capture what should be terrifying about him, I’d ultimately say Thresh. I just don’t think there’s a hell of a lot you can do once you’re in his sights. Mordekaiser, Urgot, etc. you just need to stay the hell out of their way. You don’t get any say in whether Thresh takes an interest in you or not.

Of course, that’s on top of the eternal torture crap and the fact that he’ll target your loved ones.

Rengar

I ban this knifecat in every game I go into. I don't care how bad he is in the meta, I don't care if he's actually pretty simple to deal with, I DO NOT CARE, I never want to see this cat again.

I DID NOT JOIN LEAGUE OF LEGENDS TO PLAY A JUMPSCARE HORROR GAME

Believe it or not it's probably gotta be a mix between Yi and Warwick

Just the sheer stress that comes with being one hp and knowing a Warwick is somewhere in the fog of war, charging at your ass. Or even a Master Yi who saw you on 1 hp and ulted. Just knowing they're both charging at you and not knowing when and if they'll get there... WHEW

The music it plays for Warwicks W doesn't help.

Fondling Gems8/29/2018, 3:00:53 PM2 votes

Zoe, because there is no reasoning behind her.

What scares me is power without reason. Someone like Jhin doesn't scare me because I can relate to him in a way, I may not agree or fully understand his reasoning, but there is clearly reasoning behind his actions. Death, torture, and enslavement aren't really scary to me because they are all part of experiencing the world.

To me fear isn't about the what, it is about the why, and Zoe just isn't someone I can relate to. That scares me far more than any other champion in League.

HeyHeresTre8/29/2018, 3:24:21 PM2 votes

May be a little stereotypical but Pyke he was betrayed by his crewmates and was eaten alive WHILE DROWNING. Now he wants to kill everyone on his old crew but his list keeps getting longer and longer. Thats hella scary.

Child of the Pit8/28/2018, 9:38:21 PM2 votes

Probably any darkin, the thought that my body gets taken over as host, and that everything that resembled me in the slightest gets shapeshifted into their former darkin vessel, really terrifies me, and let's not forget your soul being trapped in oblivion.

Also to be honest Nautilus is one you should fear the lessest lol, even with your phobia, Nautilus is a nice warden, so as long as you are nice, he will be too.

If you should fear someone it should be Pyke or Nami (just cause of the tides)

JumpinJellyFish19/2/2018, 2:50:04 PM1 votes

Aatrox. He keeps the souls of the previous host with no afterlife.

NotaRobot10068/28/2018, 9:24:26 PM1 votes

Jokes aside, I have to say Mordekaiser .

Like most Shadow Isles champs, it's not over when you die. You then have to serve him forever. Free will? Nope. Not anymore. There's only one will left you can follow, and it's his. Don't expect any gratitude for your hard work either, because this is the same guy who immediately enslaved the people who revived him.

We see in his flavor story that he's 100% down with making his new thralls kill the people they were trying to protect. And I doubt that's the full extent of his sadism. You're going to have a really terrible afterlife if this guy gets ahold of you.

Naut is scary , what scares me usually the most is like Zed , Kayn , Yorick , but usually Zed doesn't scare me when his mains talk in all chat and spam mastery 7

warlordekko8/29/2018, 9:08:07 AM1 votes

Obviously Thresh for me. I'm just afraid of him gameplay-wise and lore-wise "Once the custodian of countless arcane secrets, he sought a power greater than life or death, and now sustains himself by tormenting and breaking others with slow, excruciating inventiveness. His victims suffer far beyond their brief mortal coil as Thresh wreaks agony upon their souls, imprisoning them in his unholy lantern to torture for all eternity." That creeps me out.

Smartness Immune8/29/2018, 11:26:17 AM1 votes

Leblanc Makes me shiver. I sometimes appear at the base, wondering what happened.
Lore wise it's probably RekSai . I mean common, woudln't u be fking scared of a land shark coming to eat you? I would at least.

AurelionSol looking past the fact he can just create a sun on top of the earth and turn it to space debris, just seeing a massive space dragon larger then the sun's face poke out of the atmosphere would be major cause for alarm in of itself.

Panazuli8/29/2018, 11:37:39 PM1 votes

Elise Elise For sure, I have arachnophobia and I'm easily scared by even the smallest spiders. Now spiders in pictures and videos don't often make me scared, but for some reason they make me uncomfortable and itchy all over my body. So seeing Elise either makes me scared or real uncomfortable, so that's fun.. /s

Her "human" form is okay I guess, but I feel discomfort when she's in her spider form. And I hate her ult, because it's a huge spider jumping.. One time when playing Aram the camera kind of bugged when Elise ulted, and I saw the ult kinda up close, and it genuinely looked like the spider would jump out of my monitor, like damn that actually gave me a heart attack.

Rengar Rengar has also jumpscared me a few times in game, I still remember wanting to ward a bush while the enemy botlaners were gone, and him jumping out of that bush, I really didn't see that coming haha.

Urgot This guy is also pretty scary in my opinion, now you have his look and way of moving, which I guess kind of resemble a spider, but his ult is really dark..

Shaco I don't know much about Shaco tbh, but the splash arts of all his skins are creepy.

It's definitely Nautilus for me as well and for reasons you've stated. The deep blue sea still have secrets that have yet to be discovered and it's that fear of the unknown that always gets to me. I dread the thought of being down there due to some miraculous feat, still alive, and just wandering around aimlessly in total darkness not knowing what might be creeping up on me from every direction.
