Is Nagakabouros the almighty god in LoL or just another god people worship?

Illaoi says how Nagakabouros is motion and everything returns to her or something, is she the almighty god or just another small god?

I'm curious because if she is another small god then that explains the small following and idol of (her?) power.

Nagakabouros is one example of a faith, most notably espoused by Illaoi. There are monotheistic religions and polytheistic religions in Runeterra. Who is to say what is true? It's all a question of faith. Except for Bard. He just knows.

I would guess that from Aurelion's quote to Illaoi that even if Nagakabouros doesn't exist as they are worshipped, they are still representative of a very real force.

So my guess is that either there is some giant tentacled space god that Illaoi's religion doesn't understand the true motives of, or that the primal force of motion that Nagakabouros represents is very much a part of the universe of Runeterra.

If you're asking about how widespread the faith of Nagakabouros is, I'm pretty sure he/she/it is only worshipped in the Blue Flame Isles.

But if you're asking about Nagakabouros' power compared to other deities in the Runiverse, then that's more complicated. Honestly, I don't think that Nagakabouros exists in the same way that someone like Aurelion Sol exists. Surely, the forces that drive Runeterra are infinitely more mysterious than human minds can percieve, and so the Blue Flame Islanders, a people with a close connection to the ocean, take a sea-serpent as their idol.

Remember A Sol's taunt to Illaoi? "You do not understand your god." Because Sol knows more about the universe than any mortal. He knows where Illaoi's tentacles get their energy from, he likely knows what happens to a soul after death, and where a soul comes from before birth. If you ask an islander any of these things they'll say the answer is a big squid, because in that culture, Nagakaborous represents these mysteries. But other cultures will interpret it differently.

what would you consider kindred, they are pretty much god tier or close to it

well I mean define "god".

Nagakaburos is a VERY powerful being but so are Aurelion Sol and whatever force controls the Void. I dont think there is a true ALMIGHTY god in the LoL universe just beings so ridiculously powerful they tend to garner worship from the awe inspired mortals that witness them.

Do Nagakabouros and Vilemaw know each other? Because in Elise lore, it was stated he was a "Spider God." And if Vilemaw is a god, what is Baron? God or Voidspawn?

I might be a tad late to the party, but here is a something interesting I found on Nagakabouros and it's status as a deity. Since it is all fictional, and also because I have not fact checked with anything that is stated, please take it with a grain of salt. The most memorable thing I saw on this page was:

" as powerful as Aurelion Sol is, he is nowhere near as powerful as Nagakabouros, that comparing Nagakabouros to Aurelion Sol is like comparing a dung beetle to the Theory of Relativity, that Nagakabouros exists within multiple realities and multiple realms, and that Nagakabouros' existence is too great to be understood by mortal minds)".

Im going for it being like anivia and orrn

It appears that Nagakeborous has no physical body so it reminds me of the weaver from taliyah's lore Perhaps they are related?

There's no such thing as an "almighty god." That's the first flaw. Even in reality, every god that's purported to exist has some limit to their power, some flaw in their being. Runeterra is no different. Nagakaborous is one of the gods that people worship. We simply don't know many of the other ones at the moment. The closest thing we have to another god is Janna, who's worshipped and invoked by the Zaunites.

Overall Illaois dialogue implies that there are other gods than Nagakaborous, but that Nagakaborous is one of the top tier gods and stronger than many others. However we don't know if that means that nagakaborous is the top god or not(or if the other gods are even a real thing, after all they might be deities that Illaois people worship, but don't actually exist).

I don't think there would be an all-powerful god in the lore ever. Almighties in general make for a pretty poor storytelling. Even in Christian-inspired Hell vs Heaven stories they have to severely handicap God to make the conflict work.
