Since Riot wants Frostblade to actually be ice-themed while the playerbase wants a pinup girl... just go through with the ice-themed skin and release a Neon Strike skin so you can justify the slutty jumpsuit and the tech-y bits people want.
And, as people are saying, maybe just give the Neon Strike skin to angry Irelia mains who bought Frostblade (pre-rework announcement) for free, or dramatically discount it.
They should remake Frostblade, rename the skin on the PBE Winter Wonder and let players who own Frostblade now choose which one they want.
I dont want them to continue butchering the updated Frostblade Irelia skin. Just make a Neon Strike Irelia that looks like classic Frostblade and give that to the previous Frostblade owners for free.

I'd be okay with that if owners of the original Frostblade got Neonblade for free then. I don't like the champion, the skin, etc. but people still payed money for the goofy overdone whole 'sensual spandex' theme with techy bits, they should't have it taken away and not compensated.
I'm honestly fine with this idea. Neon Strike Irelia + Winter Wonder Irelia.
Release Winter Wonder temporarily when the rework comes out, then put it away until Snowdown at which point Riot can permanently release it.
