New color story - Zyra

SPOILERS AHEAD :) Wow out of this update today I loved Zyra! It just really shows how she is a silent threat taking over the Kumungu and the people who live in and around the jungle. I enjoyed the concept of her seeds called "Zychids"(Orchids much?). It appears that she can spawn like a seed and materialize through them. This woman Hatilly bought the plant at a market and overnight the Zychid grew and took over her whole house. I like how it shows Zyra as a threat and the speed in which her plants grow!

Another interesting thought would be the concept of how the wind carries seeds of many plants and trees across lands and how Zyra can essentially spawn from these Zychids that could be carried by ship and by men across Runeterra and Valoran most of all. This would enable Zyra to spawn in the middle of Demacia should her seed be carried there from the shuriman continent as I think Zychids can only be found in the Kumungu. Also the story takes place around Kumangra and that is pretty close to Piltover and Zaun giving Zyra an easy chance to spawn there if her seeds were to be taken there! https://i.imgur.com/rDNawNT.jpg[]

My theory is that she actually transfers her consciousness through the roots of her seeds and flowers once they've been planted somewhere, and then she simply has to wait for the bulb to produce a new body for her to use. However, if this were true, it would mean that she's left a dozen of other bodies simply lying around.

Anyway, good story, love new lore, especially for my lady Zyra, just wish there was more of her actually in it.

I love it! Zychid is like the shorcut for Zyra's kids/offsprings.

Riot is pushing cosmic horror to zyra and i very much like it. Its like Junji Ito's Tamie but in plant form. However, its still not clear as to how zyra can put her consciousness in to the other plant body so fast.

PS: This can be another calamity/plot/story arc in runetera.

Oh wow ! Loved the story !

So she's in other words... Nearly invicible ? If we consider the fact that she can rebirth herself at ease with the aid of her Zychids, I love the fact that they added more of her abilities and powers with her bio and now, her new colour story. But the more they add, the more she starts to become a little offset with what we got of her so far in game.

  • So to recapitulate, she now has the power to induce toxins and poison, since it is stated in her new bio.

  • She also have this vampiric trait of her to grow bigger in size, since her thorns and vines were feasting on the blood and flesh of the poor couple.

  • She is not only sensual in her manners, but she's the epitome of Natural Beauty, she can easily charm/seduce someone with her fragrance that she make them forget the fact they're getting engulfed by her tentacular carnivorous plants.

I'm scared her in game appearence does not portray her new abilities and persona she was given. VGU when ??

The revelation that Zyra can seemingly just...appear from any of her plant spawn definitely puts a new spin on just how powerful she might be. Especially if she can grow a new body from them.

A homicidal plant-wizard with incredible powers who can spread herself across continents and regenerate her body when destroyed? Noxus should send her a job offer.
