"Twilight of the Gods" and Its Facts

Things took my interest enough to list them under:

  1. Xerath was taken as slave from Nerimazeth, the first capital of Shurima. For that reason, Ascended destroyed the city and killed its people as revenge, even when they assumed Xerath was dead with Fall of Shurima.

  2. Shabaka and Shabake, the Twin Ascended, looked directly into the eyes of the Watchers. It is the reason why they were insane. No mortal, not even the Ascended can survive their gaze without losing their mind.

  3. Chalicar, the Legendary Weapon of Setaka is the key of imprisonment of the darkin. It is possible that it carries the essence of an ascended, maybe even more than one. What sure is, Sivir's weapon is one of the most powerful weapons in Runeterra, which even Aspect of Twilight respects. High likely was crafted by the Aspects.

  4. Act of a slave looking into eyes of an Ascended was punishable by death in Ancient Shurima. Life-bearers were also queens of empires that Ascended conquered. They were taken as slaves to only remind them their victories as queens had no chance unless they want to die. To survive, they had to become slaves.

  5. Naganeka, the Snake Ascended of Shurima could be the magical architect of Snake Statue that guards the Tomb of the Emperors. She also blinded her life-bearers for unknown reasons by her poison.

  6. Transformation to Ascended caused by Power of the Sun can be removed by Power of the Moon. But it may need to be casted willingly. A self-cast spell.

I liked some sneaky hints like "Blood glistened with the light of dragon-wrought stars."

The Chalicar is 100% a Targon-crafted weapon, it can even channel the cosimc energies.

The Ascended were a Targon gift to Runeterrans.

How fucking gross that the Darking, beasts of legend, have come to be nothing but the lunari and solari lab experiments. ewww Riot lore has reached a new low.

So, if you cross-reference this piece with the “Legend” piece, is the Chalicar a Darkin weapon?

The weapon was taken alongside an ascended heart, to the smithy. So is Sivir immune to being a host?

Also 7. The lore piece shares its name with a very fitting song from the german Metal band "Blind Guardian" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ep1B_aIFPDE

I just wanna point out, Nerimazeth was hinted at being a rival nation to Shurima about 6 or so months ago. I believe it was Bioluminescence that mentioned this as so, if not then a different Rioter.

I think at the time most, or just me was assuming it to be a brand new faction, kinda like the Icathians. I at least hope that because Xearth is trying to build a rival empire, that Nerimazeth could become a full faction (even if there aren't any champs from there.. yet).
