Blood Moon Jhin + Challenger Ahri connected?

I play both Jhin and Ahri pretty frequently and just noticed on the new Jhin skin he has these furry things that appear to be tails flung over his shoulder. They look pretty much exactly like the tails on Challenger Ahri, are they connected somehow? Both champions are Ionian if I recall correctly. Perhaps this is a little detail they added to the skin just for fun.
