So hey....we can finally say that The Lunari does not bring moon stones to the Marai. But who??

It was already 30% farfetch'd and predictably cliche to begin with(although i debated about it) I contempt with saying there is no connection what so ever. The new targon lore kinda nulls that, but i do want characters like Nami, Nautilus and fizz to be visited also.

Who was bringing the moonstones to the Marai? There could be a civilization that kinda co-exist with them. Loosely speaking, that civilization could just be aware of the tradition they have been following. Maybe it's a small society in one of the jungles that makes the trade? I wouldn't say they are well known or known at al lfor that matter. For humans to make trades with a race people don't believe exist like the Marai it must be done in a sorta discreet kind of way. And when i say discreet i mean, not even Demacia is aware of this hidden society. Well, villges and tribes found in brazil come to mind.

I am unsure of the geographic location of the new map. But i dont think new Nami would appear in Bilgewater first. That is too ez to do. An area maybe on the southern continent that was mentioned by narrative. Was it Conqueror's Sea that was in between Valaran and the Serpent Ilses? Idk, what do you guys think?

Bard.

Ok some may think I'm joking and really Bard can be used as an excuse for most things of a mystical and unknown nature, but I can imagine something called a moonstone which is supposed to illuminate the darkness being celestial in origin. Picture a world where the Marai are forced to the bottom of the sea to survive for whatever reason, and Bard sees this and recognises a need to preserve the Marai because they're important to Runeterra's future later down the road. He is able to retrieve a celestial object to provide them with protection, but the object's power is limited and will only last for a given amount of time, and requires a trade; an abyssal pearl. Bard makes the journey every century to resupply the Marai with a moonstone, having already gone over with their leaders about the process and Bard being remembered simply as an undescribed hero.

Fast forward to the modern era and Bard is nowhere to be found as other duties in the cosmos have prevented him from returning to the Marai, and thus Nami has to step up to take up the mantle of Tidecaller. Hell we can even extrapolate that Bard communes with the Marai who he finds would be best to come and claim the Moonstone, and that's how Tidecaller's "appeared" over history. Also potentially the Moonstone could be the Pearl from the prior meeting, transformed by celestial energies in to a radiant stone of great energies.

Eh I dunno. Maybe? Who knows really.

A while back, I thought that it's possible that Nautilus is supposed to be the guy with the moonstone. I mean, Nami and Naut are rivals for no reason. Also, it's possible that Nautilus's "destiny" was thrown off course by whatever turned him into what he is now. It also could've happened on purpose, like there's a supernatural force or being that doesn't want the Marai to have a moonstone.
